Now the stories are starting to come full circle.

Saturday Night Live has begun their search for a MUCH needed black female cast member!
The late night series hasn’t had a full-time, African-American woman at Studio 8H since Maya Rudolph left in 2007!
Yep. That was more than six years ago, people. Let’s talk about it.
The show itself is well-aware of what a problem this has become and even poked fun at their own lack of diversity when Kerry Washington hosted earlier this season, playing the parts of First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Beyoncé!
That sketch, while HIGHlarious, is proof positive that in order for a show that spoofs pop culture to work, it NEEDS black women around to play ALL of the black women who are a part of POP CULTURE!
We can’t wait to see the talented women they find!
