We’ve seen a lot of hateful rhetoric coming out of Russia lately, but these comments might be the worst so far.
Ivan Okhlobystin, who stars in the Russian version of Scrubs on TV, is saying something that’s anything but funny, calling on gays to be burned alive in ovens!
He made these disgusting remarks while speaking to fans at an event in Siberia.
"“I’d put them all alive in the oven. It’s a living danger to my children! It’s queer fascism! If a person can’t choose someone similar from the opposite sex for reproduction, it’s a clear sign of a psychic anomaly, it means they need to be deprived of the vote.”
Fans of his show Interns actually applauded after the father of six spoke these horrible words. According to Russian reporters, those there to see Okhlobystin were "housewives and tough dudes working blue-collar jobs, craving spirituality.”
Not only does this story make us feel horrible for the LGBT community in Russia right now, we also feel bad for Okhlobystin’s kids!
Living in an ignorant household will never be easy for them!
