Not even the queen can please everyone!

Even though Target has done beysiness with Beyoncé before, they are now refusing to sell her new self-titled album.

But why??!

The smash hit won't be lining their shelves because it was released exclusively online first.

Target spokesperson Erica Julkowski explained:

"At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections. While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyonce in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats. At this time, Target will not be carrying Beyonce's new self-titled album 'Beyonce.'"

Hmmmm…

..inneresting burn!

This sort of feels like a bad break up, but obviously Target is the silly boyfriend that will end up being the only one suffering!

Who wouldn't want a piece of the visual masterpiece??!

Clearly it hasn't hurt her sales! LOLz!

It's the digital age and the super store better log on before they lose out anymore!

How is this album selling? It's worse than her last album. Where is the Fun Beyonce at? Not this lame excuse garbage Beyonce?! Funny not ONE Pop artist has a decent album for 2013. Hopefully 2014 brings better music!

This is much bigger than the Beyonce album. This will probably trickle down to future musical releases and books if they are released digitally first. Albums and books tend to show up online on torrent sites when distributors are involved. You can't blame the artist/author if this is how they would like to do things first. Like Jesse, I too was going to buy a physical copy, which is often how I do with books as well. Target is acting very short-sighted on this.

Target is right. When you go all digital, it does NOTHING for the sales of Target or Walmart or anyone who actually sells CDs (that's why there is no Tower Records anymore).
    .
While some people MIGHT by the CD, most have bought the digital download and won't spend money on a CD.
    .
Kudos to Target. And the album is over produced and depressing anyway.

LOL! Dumg ass move Target! A lot of people, like myself, still purchase CD's even if they have the e-version! I bet Target is going to regret it in the end!

It's product. They either want to profit from it when the hard copies come out or they don't. Who turns down cash money. Dictating terms to an artist isn't a retailer's job.

$15.99 for Beyonce' iTunes download! In the age of $5.99 - $9.99 MP3 downloads, Sony Corporation of America & Beyonce' ain't nothin' but greedy ass bitches.

Re: Frank Blank – You do realize that the 15.99 is not just for the album but for the 17 music videos that come with it right? smdh, dumb fucking people can't even find a real reason to hate on beyonce

    It's not just Target now.
Amazon has also refused to sell the physical copies of her new album.
