And he's just getting started!
Get the rundown (below):
Jay Leno, the man with the highest ratings in late night TV, is about to be out of a job!
The long-time Tonight Show host will step down in February and allow Jimmy Fallon to take over at 11:35. But unlike the Conan O’Brien debacle of 4 years ago, this time, Jay will be gone from the NBC show for good.
So where does a workaholic like Jay go from here??
The offers for a new gig are ALREADY pouring in from networks who want Jay to come bat for their team! And some of these suitors are pretty surprising!
For starters, we hear Jay is being tapped for a show on CNN! The cable news channel is now being run by Jeff Zucker, the man who orchestrated the first ouster of the late night king from the Tonight Show in 2009 when he was President of NBC!
Would Jay really want to go work for the guy who almost ruined his career??
Another head-scratcher going after Jay now is Core Media Group, the production and development company behind American Idol!
Um…should Ryan Seacrest be nervous about finding a pink slip on his dressing room door someday??
We doubt that very much but we wonder what they have in mind for Jay? Maybe there’s another reality series in the works that’s in need of a legendary host??
In all, insiders say Jay has received 10 offers for a new job once he signs off from the Tonight Show. But he has made it very clear, he will not line anything new up until he takes his final bow.
Considering what happened the last time, we don’t blame Jay for waiting until the last minute before packing up his office!
