A 28-year-old Swedish man who was caught distributing a pre-release copy of Beck - Buried Alive suddenly finds himself buried alive under a ton of legal fees — a record breaking sum, in fact.
Siding with a production company claiming the illegal uploader wound up costing them boatloads of cash, a judge ordered the Swedish dude to fork over $800,000!!!
For the love of Alexander Skarsgård, that's a lot of money! Enough to make a pirate say "Arrrrrrrr u kidding?"
It's hARRRRRRd to feel too bad for the guy, though, because this wasn't his only infraction.
He was also convicted of uploading 517 other titles and must serve a suspended jail sentence and complete 160 hours of community service.
