Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson Gave Another Anti-Gay Sermon, Cops To Committing "Sexual Sins"

duck dynasty phil robertson anti gay sermon committed sexual sins

Well, this is a twist!

Phil Robertson went back to his giving sermons from his soapbox this weekend, apparently unaffected by the loss of his day job! On Sunday he spoke out again against the gay community!

The Duck Dynasty's star's return to preaching isn't in itself surprising, but what came out of his mouth was totally unexpected!

Phil admitted to committing "sexual sins" of his very own!

He explained:

"Sexual sins are numerous and many. I have a few myself… [But if] you're a man, find yourself a woman, marry them and keep your sex right there."

Hmm, it doesn't sound like getting booted from his A&E show has helped to open Phil's mind at all!

The former reality star continued:

"I will not give or back off my path… All I did was quote from the scriptures… Common sense says we are not going to procreate the human race unless we have a man and a woman… If you're a homosexual, He'll take it away. If you're an adulterer, if you're a liar, what's the difference? If you break one sin you may as well break them all … if we lose our morality, we will lose our country. It will happen."

We cannot believe he compared homosexuality to adultery and dishonesty, but then again this is the man who implied being gay was a stepping stone to bestiality!

Ugh! We're really disappointed by his continued intolerance of the LGBT community!

Perez, lying and murdering are all very different and yet both are a sin.

we all have rights in this country its what makes america, he has a right to his opinion and gays have a right to theirs. You can't change everyones mind and they never will change everyones mind, not everyone has to be open to gay rights. We can't put a group of people above another. The robertsons made a statement and truly believe family blood is the thickest and it truly is which is rare in tv these days. I back up Phil and still support gays it is what it is.

Who's the one being intolerant here, Perez? Maybe you should get off YOUR soapbox. 'course we all know, that's never going to happen.

  5. 5

Why only question Phil? If that's the case why not go attack every single church that follows their beliefs? Not everybody will agree with you…not now or ever when it comes to the bible.

I am a Christian and everything he says is in the Bible; you do not have to accept it but its the fact that Christians live by and we will not be swayed by people who think that we have to have open minds when it comes to a clearly stated sin mentioned in the bible that we Christians govern our lives by. That is why there is the emphasis of separation of Church and State so liberals can change with every century and leave us Christians who are happy to serve our God and live according to his word.

"Those who know what's best for us, must rise and save us from ourselves." - Neal Peart
Please, PLEASE, Perez, tell us what to think next! Just admit it Hilton, you'd sell what's left of your soul to have a show with HALF the ratings Dynasty has. Hell, you'd settle for a 5 minute guest spot, but I'm sure the gun would make you go wee wee in your purty pink panties.

It's his opinion. I don't happen to agree with him, but he has every right to his own opinion just as I have a right to mine. And at least he is not being a giant hypocrite about it and giving some fake ass apology just to please people and kiss ass to keep his job, you gotta give him that.

    Will you ever stop whining?
Look, I'm all for LGBT rights and actually I am bi, but come on! This guy is allowed to think whatever he wants to. It's not like what he says actually matters or like he is actively hurting anyone. He's not beating up gay people, he's just speaking his mind. Freedom of speech, remember? He is religious, of course he is opposed to homosexuality, it's a sin in most (if not all) religions. Other people might disagree, but he is still entitled to his on opinion.

Phil is allowed to say what he wants but so is Perez, considering this is his blog. In my view, Phil hides behind freedom of speech and religion to justify his hate and probably to reaffirm and sustain his sobriety; considering he admits to being excessive in his youth with drugs and sex. Anyway, Phil's ideas aren't new and we all have seen that this kind of hateful thinking doesn't lead to peace, love and understanding, it leads to craziness and violence.

I understand your disappoint But if you are a believer in God…if you read the Bible….New and Old Testament outlines the sins and it includes homosexuality. He is not juxtapositioning the words together to offend. Put things into the context. You can believe someone is wrong and tell them so because you care. Phil is referring to Romans 1:24-28….BUT the part they barely mentioned that Phil also said…is right after this part in the Bible…Romans 2:1-8…Which essentially tells a believer (which I am) that you are no better and cannot pass judgement because you have your own sins to worry about. So no…Phil is no a "gay basher"….neither is God. The Bible consistently tells us we're sinners, but Jesus walked the earth, struggled as a man, was persecuted as a man, was rejected and still showed us how much he loved us by dying on the cross knowing full well we were and would continue to be sinful creatures. I don't know a soul on this earth that hasn't walked this earth, struggled with something, been persecuted for something and felt the sting of rejection and yet something inside tells you to continue to love. It's what it means when the Bible says "the living spirit". Love people. LOVE!

    Re: Realness
So by quoting what the Bible says is hateful? He also said…directly after he quoted scripture…

However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.

    Sounds absolutely hateful.

    14

If Phil Robertson purports to be "real" Christian, then his ranting about the gay community would cease. Even the Pope says, "who is he to judge"?

  15. Derpina says – reply to this

    15

Seriously? He's an almost 70 year old devout christian. He is allowed to have his beliefs and opinions. I understand it wasn't pc and all, but geez! Everyone is entitled to their opinions!

  16. 16

Perez..how come the LGBT does not practice the same tolerance they expect from the straight community? Although I'm a strong supporter of the LGBT community, I'm sorry I don't agree with you on this, as the man has every right to express and defend his religious beliefs. He's not comparing homosexuality with adultery…he's basically saying a sin is a sin, no matter the type. I'm really dissapointed that we've come to an age where freedom of speech and religious beliefs are in danger of extinction. As a society we really need to grow thick skin and become tolerable of differences. We can agree to disagree.

    17

Homosexuality is adultery and if you believe in God you must believe His word/bible. All of it, not just what's convenient for you. Homosexuality is called adultery in the Bible. I'm guessing you don't believe in God, or know God since you don't know His word.

    18

Re: MAMANELLE5 – The pope is just another Human, why would you even bring him up! lmao!!! I mean just because society put him as a pope doesn't mean his word is greater than us. But if you want to go and say the word "judge" I will correct you and tell you he wasn't or isn't judging the bible clearly states in GALATIANS 6:1 "Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself." and also in LEVITICUS 20:13 ""If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense." So you must not believe in God since you don't agree with His word. I mean God is an everyday God, He sees all He knows all. So why would you believe in Him only when or how its convenient for you?

  19. 19

Phil Robertson doesn't give a rat's-@ss what anyone thinks about him. He's speaking what he believes and, if you don't agree, so be it. He doesn't care and he's not going to compromise his beleifs to appease a those in the minority that disagree with him. Besides, believing homosexuality is a sin doesn't automatically make him homophobic or means that he hates gays. He thinks those engaging in premarital sex and/or living together without being married are sinners. He doesn't hate those people either, he just believes they are sinners.

  20. 20

It's not his fault you're a bunch of sick perverts. And gays do make up a disproportionate number of pedophiles.

come off it! what about all the shit you say thats stupid on a daily basis? i'm all for gay rights but i hate it when one little person doesn't agree with the lgbt community and they attack when what their original fight back in the day was …at its core… about not being attacked for your beliefs…tolerance works both ways.

Re: indefinite – thank you! You're not giving him shit for saying what he wants to say. Why can't anyone else see that? You can't change someones mind (especially if they've believed it their whole lives). Everyone has their own opinion and everyone should be able to voice it in a well-mannered way like what you're doing! Not everyone is going to agree with it. I'm glad he had enough balls to say what he wanted to say and I support him but I also support the LGTBQ community. Everyone needs to shut up and let people live the way they want to live.

To punish a person for speaking his mind, is unforgiving, regardless of if homosexuality is a sin or not, the fact is that if you're being unforgiving, the scripture also says, you will not be forgiven.. So, the morale is, if you do sin, you better forgive others. This sword goes both ways.. not MY sword, I'm proud to say, because it's who I am, nothing more.

I am always saddened at the historical ignorance of so many people these days. The author of this article says he cannot believe that Phil compared homosexuality to adultery and dishonesty. Why can't you believe it? Did you know that only 40 years ago, sodomy was illegal in most states and seen as atrocious and perverted by most Americans? What has happened in the last 40 years is a systematic indoctrination, of which the author of this article is a victim, to forge a new reality that mankind has never known. Most human societies have seen homosexuality as atrocious, and its amazing to me that we are so dull as modern, Americans who claim to be so knowledgeable, as to think that our modern, hip, view is somehow the only view that can or has ever existed. It is the acceptance of homosexuality that would surprise all the generations that have come before us.

I agree with you Phil. The Bible says God created Adam and Eve and told them to go forth and multiply. He did not say he created Adam and Steve and told them to procreate. And I have a nephew who is gay. I pray for him everyday. I will pray that A&E will reconsider what they have done. God bless you and yours.
