Olivia Munn has been a standout on the first two seasons of HBO's acclaimed The Newsroom. But has she let it go to her head?
According to an inside source, Olivia has become something of a know-it-all on set, giving veteran showrunner Aaron Sorkin tons of notes! The source says:
"Olivia was acting like one of his co-writers instead of like a professional actress, and Aaron didn’t appreciate hearing her opinions on everything, especially since he took a real risk in the show’s first year by hiring her."
And the rift isn't just between Olivia and Aaron. According to the source, the entire cast is feeling it, including star Jeff Daniels!
"Olivia and Aaron’s relationship soured so completely during season two of The Newsroom that it created a poisonous atmosphere on the set.
It affected the entire show because Olivia was written to be such a prominent player this season. But by the end of the long shoot, Aaron and Jeff were barely speaking to her, and you can expect that in the third season, her role will be greatly diminished."
Eesh! Attitude so bad it costs you work? Bad news! Or is it just a bad rumor?
We're guessing this story would never make it to Will's desk on The Newsroom, because it looks like it may not pass muster!
According to the man himself Aaron Sorkin, Olivia is far from problematic! He says:
"The story bears no resemblance to reality. Olivia is a perfect cast member who is loved and respected by the entire cast, by the crew and the producers, by HBO and especially by me."
Whew! It's so much more fun to love how sassy Olivia is on the show when you know she's super sweet in real life!
Don't you just love good news?
