Britney Spears' Pricey Las Vegas Meet & Greet Is Leaving Fans Wanting A Refund?!

| Filed under: Britney SpearsSin City

britney spears pricey meet and greet overrated

But…but…she's pop royalty?!

How could meeting Britney Spears be anything other than AH-Mazing?!

Well, apparently if you shell out $2,500 to meet Miz Spears and then only get a few seconds with her, you'll end up bummed out.

And that's apparently what's going on during the pricey meet-and-greets with Brit-Brit in Las Vegas as an insider has revealed:

"Fans were told before the meet-and-greet that they were not to hug or touch Britney without her permission and they weren’t allowed to bring her any gifts. And then once they finally got to meet her it was like smile, take a photo, goodbye. Each person literally got like 3-seconds with her … Fans were anticipating a flashy meet-and-greet with Britney but instead it was just awkward and uncomfortable. She barely spoke. She just smiled and nodded and said ‘thank-you’ a lot."

But they met Brit-Brit, right??

Not that we're saying you can put a price on the pop princess, but $2,500 seems like a bargain if you get to breathe the same air as Brit!

Although, who would even be able to breathe while meeting Brit-Brit? LOLz!

    Not surprising. Isn't she shy?

  2. 2

This whole Las Vegas gig seems to be backfiring on her. She really needs to give it up and realize that she will never have the fame she did before.

2500?! really, i wouldn't spend that much money to spend a day with her. That is absolutely barbaric!

That's just what a meet and greet is. No meet and greet is more than a smile, a potential handshake, and a picture OR autograph. That's true of pretty much any celebrity or musical group. People need to get their expectations in check.

When will someone say what everyone thinks: she's never been the same since she shaved her head and had to be legally placed under a conservatorship. She's glasseyed and medicated. This is what happens when you take psych meds. If you watch her closely, she's sluggish. She looks unhappy and uncomfortable every time she's interviewed. Not everyone can be Madonna and stay relevant for 30 years.

  7. 7

wasnt she the same way during her Femme Fatale meet & greets? why would anyone expect anything different now?

$2500 to meet with your fans for only 3 secs? Not very appreciative of the people responsible for her success.. Her people should have known better, I'm sure they knew she's not a very interactive person, this was just greedy… oh the bias reporting is making this site appear very contradictive and even less reliable than before…

I'm predicting this Vegas Show won't last more than 6 months. She looks like the type that gets tired of things very easily..

  10. 10

"Like OMG! I can't believe Brittany Murphy is standing in front of me!" I said.
"WTF! I'm not dead yet!" Replies Britney.
"Oh, you're that girl that popped JT's cherry?" I state.
    "Something like that," Britney mumbles.

Well what do people expect?? Britney to make out with them? or take them out for dinner? lol like its just a meet and greet. And i imagine its soo expensive b/c Britney doesnt like or feel comfortable doing it so they jack the price up real high so that only a small number of fans (with money) actually do it. I get that it would be nice for her to talk to them for a bit but a Britney fan should know that shes really shy.

Re: ajaja – So true. Watching her on X-Factor was painful. I wish she would retire and take care of herself.

Not surprising. Does she not have mental health problems, does she even know where she is…Perez has to say these things. He is being paid for good publicity.

People know that she has a shy personality when she isn't performing. So yeah, it's gonna be awkward. I know personally If I got to meet her even for three seconds it would be worth it so I could ask her for a hug and then say, "You are the one who inspired me to follow my dreams and be a performer." I'm a huge fan. I adore her so much, and I think people need to cut her a break, we all have seen clips of her on X Factor, and while she's super nice and sweet… She's not that much of a people person, so just don't go in expecting her to jump up and down and be all "OMG HI EVERYONE!" Because that's unrealistic. Make it a little easier on her!! Love you Brit!

From what I've seen of the show and her very distance attitude toward everything, I'm not surprised.
    .
This is NOT the young Britney from 10 years ago. And if fans think she is, they are gong to be very very disappointed.

I'm a huge Britney fan, I always have been. But I still don't think it's worth it to pay that much money to meet her. She's gorgeous and talented, but at the end of the day, she is just as human as I am, and there is no reason why I should have to pay that much money just to meet another human being. And, as much as i love her, I know she will never feel the same way about me. She doesn't care about me. All the nice comments, I can say she has alreayd heard before from a million people. So I think the best thing for me to do is admire her work and watch the show, but not expect to get to know her on a personal level, because that's just never gonna happen. I would rather spend 2500 on front row tickets, a new outfit for the show and dinner and drinks for before and after the show. Then I'd pocket the rest of the money.

Considering how sedated she is and how scripted everything she says has to be for her not to appear like a total fucknut, I'm surprised they're allowing her in a non-controlled environment with her fans. This is just a sad "look at the sad clown hasbeen" thing all around.

When she came to my country with the Femme Fatale tour it was awkward and disappointing to finally met her. She is not as pretty as she looks on stage and the only thing she can tell is Thank you, thank you… I did not expected she chatting and drinking a coffee with her but at least to be more nice to met my idol. I think drugs damaged her brain seriously!

$2500 is what Britney earns for a minute of work..for the rest of us, it is hard earned money. I think she, or her mgmt, needs to remember who is buying her cd's and Vegas tickets…THE FANS! So, show them a bit of appreciation and take the time to say a proper 'thankyou'.

  23. Kenneth S says – reply to this

    23

Her show's nothing more than a drag show… She lipsyncs the whole thing (off cue) and dances (a little, but the vegas shows seem to be slightly better than the Femme fatale tour)… Drag queens at least get their lipsync right! Basically her dancers carry the whole show… But obviously you'd be fanboying over her… Vegas shows are for people who can actually sing live! Like Celine! Britney just isn't in that league… And for 2500 dollars a person she could at least put some effort in that meet and greet… #SorryNotSorry

  24. 24

not surprised she obviously has extremely high anxiety all the time thats why shes sedated looking all the time. i still to this day do not believe for a second she was a heavy drinker or drug user. im sure she had her experiments but her actions were that and still are of somebody with true heavy mental health issues. shes just now very medicated. if she was so healthy and fine and happy normal now the conservatorship wouldnt still be in place. she may be much better than she was in 2007 but because the public will never know the true depths of her mental health and diagnoses the courts and doctors must still believe that if she were left to her own devices and put in control completely of her own life again, she would probably revert back to her 2007 behavior. it was rumored in 08 that she had been diagnosed with Bipolar Schizophrenia which doesnt seem to be too shocking if that were actually true. She may appear happy and silly kind of like the old britney but the true old britney from 2002 will never come back sorry to say people. mental health isnt something that just gets cured its just managed

That's not a new thing. Her meet and greets have always been like that. I've met her twice (once at the beginning of her career and once towards the middle) and both times it was basically 2 seconds to pose for the camera.

  26. KDN says – reply to this

    26

That's pretty pricey. Even if i had that kind of money i would still not spend that much to meet her. You will still breathe in the same air when you are at her concert so that's a stupid thing to say Perez.

  27. greg says – reply to this

    27

seriously she never had any real talent to begin with…has never sung live and her records are overly produced slick creations of hi-tech creativity…also she is so medicated as you have all said that this show is really pathetic…she should be away from the spotlight trying to get her live together not whoring herself out to shaker her ass on stage for a few seconds in a catatonic state…somebody should stop this insanity before she commits suicide

  28. Scott says – reply to this

    28

Nobody should ever expect Britney to give them a 2 hour meet and greet after her show. But then again, Britney should never charge fans $2,500 to do it. I'm not a Britney hater, but I can't believe people would pay good money to see her show while lipsynching. Buy one of her videos for goodness sake, it's the same thing. And from the clips I've seen, her dancing isn't what it once was. I don't think Britney will ever be the way she once was back in the day.

  29. 29

the idiots who paid 2500 deserve what they get

  30. 30

She could just say hello what's ur name where are u from and give a fan a hug. I think that's what everyone was expecting.

Re: ajaja – Very true….or fool just about all her dopey fans with lip-sync dance acts. Heck if she hadn't ruffled the other queen of POP's feathers, (Elton John) it would never have been even stated on any major venue! Of course anyone that knows music and can't find a single "live" performance of her with just a piano or guitar should realize the fix was in…..I do give the old broad credit though…….she proved you can fool most of the people most of the time alright!

Re: Nicole – Yeah, except no one charges you $2,500 to meet them for 3 seconds. I had the chance to enter to a M&G with Kylie Minogue and I had a good 15 minutes of DIALOG with her. Plus the picture and signed postcard. All for free, as with many other celebrities.

  33. 33

To shell out that much money to meet a celebrity suggests to me that you are a big fan and with that being said you must certainly know by now that she is a bit socially challenged. These fans really could and should have inquired about their expectations prior to forking over that much money. I personally would not have expected anything more than just as it was called– a meet and greet especially given the fact that she just completed an energetic performance and now must take pictures with x amount of people who she does not know. Did they expect her to say hi, have a seat can I get you a drink? How is the family etc. etc… Even if you were not socially challenged it can be awkward conversing with strangers. I am a published author and I feel more than a bit out of my element when just doing some book signings so I can only imagine what it would be like for her with everyone knowing who she is.

Re: Nicole – I've done meet and greets where I've paid ZERO and had far more interaction than what someone is getting here. If someone is paying $2500 for a meet and greet, an expectation for a little more personal interaction is hardly unrealistic.

Britney wanted them to feel the whole experience like her show so she lip synced "thank you" as she does in her show.

I'm a super fan (Vegas will be my 24th) Britney Spears show. But it's evident in the video clips that have been posted and her promotional interviews, that she just doesn't have her heart in this anymore. It's okay to be shy and not want to interact with fans and be private…. Her management team are greedy fuckers and shouldn't put her in this situation. The same thing happened at Femme Fatale where Larry Rudolph gave people a look when they asked for a hug. For that kind of money?! it's a pure slap in the face to her fans that are shelling out that kind of coin. I am re-thinking keeping that money in my pocket and just getting a normal seat.

    Re: La Vie En Rose

100% agree with you on that one. I don't think anyone is expecting her to pull up a chair and have a drink or cup of coffee with a fan. Just a quick what's your name, where you coming from, a hug……then give them a signed copy of a tour book/ T-Shirt and call it a day. Shy or not, her team could put a little effort into it.

$2 500? I paid $150.00 to meet Marilyn Manson and we got a plethora of hugs, ass grabbing/slaps, time to speak with him, autographs and just overall an amazing experience. Britney Spears or not, that's terrible!
