Paul Walker is gone, but certainly not forgotten!
His good friend and Fast & Furious co-star Tyrese Gibson recently opened up in his first interview since the tragedy and discussed what a wonderful man Walker was.
"I’ve never been depressed in my life but I was very, very sad and down and it took me a minute to shake it.”
But it was the fans who helped lift not just his sorrows but all of cast and crew from Fast & Furious. Tyrese made sure to thank them all on-air, saying:
"All of the prayers and tweets and posts and Instagrams that you’ve sent all of us. We love y’all and appreciate y’all and just…thank you. It means a lot.”
The question remains though - how will producers handle Paul's sudden passing when it comes time to get to work on FF7?
Arsenio asked Tyrese if he knew of any plans in place for the next installment. Tyrese answered:
"That’s all stuff that’s being figured out now. There’s a lot of sensitivities around how to move forward. This is my first interview since it happened. What gave me my smile again is really thinking about the fact that I’ve never seen him cry, I've never seen him sad and his energy was always up. So I was like, ‘why would I be crying and sad and messed up.’”
We certainly lost a good one. But we’re so glad you got your smile back, Tyrese!
Our thoughts are still with you!
