Tamera Mowry Gets Emotional Over The Hate She Gets For Her Interracial Marriage On Oprah's Where Are They Now

| Filed under: Oprah WinfreySad SadBullyingTia MowryTamera Mowry

This is so hateful, it's heartbreaking!

No one should ever be judged for who they love - no matter what!

On Oprah's Where Are They Now, Tia and Tamera Mowry talk about where they are in life after their hugely successful sitcom in the 90s, Sister, Sister.

In their segment, Tamera opens up about being a victim of internet hate and how the comments about her marriage to hubby Adam Housley affect her.

Srsly, the comments she reads out are terrible. She, her hubby and their son are a beautiful family! It's so sad.

Take a look at her reaction (above)!

I grew up watching these girls……….it saddens me to hear such things. People can be incredibly hurtful. Tia and Tamera you and your families are wonderful!!

where does she live that people talk like that? i didnt think people gave a shit about interracial relationships anymore…wtf?!

  4. 4

Oh, give me a fucking break. She heard a half dozen comments, MAYBE. She had problems remembering. The black women before her suffered much much worse at the hands of racism and bigotry. She's NEVER been an oppressed person. Either were her parents. She's basically a silver spooner who is whining because she had a slight dose of the real world and her silver spoon found it uncomfortable. it's gross what she's doing.

This is like Kardashian being called a slut and her going on national tv and talking about how traumatized she is for life. FUck you. Just fuck you. There world has much bigger problems that this idiot whining about someone making a comment to her. Fuck man.

Re: Pafpdd - I agree. I am in a black & white relationship myself and other than a few looks of interest because (I am a gorgeous black gyal and my man is finnnnneeeeewe) we have never experienced anything like this. Its 2014 already, little negative comments does not matter anymore because even for those who think they live under a rock there are not only black & white relationships but various other intteracial dating and marriages ALL over the world, so there is no way of avoiding see interracial relationships. But from the few that she quoted seemed like black people to me insulting her. But wharves, you are rich girl and you should not even think twice about some of these people sitting behind computers that don't even know where their next meal will be coming from. Kudos to you and your husband.

  7. 7

Are you serious? Since she's rich she can't have feelings. And people have the nerve to shame celebrities for showing a lack of emotions and seeming stuck up, but as soon as one sheds a tear they need to suck it up because other people are suffering too. Who came up with this stupid f*cking logic!

This is why we need to remember that there are some AWFUL people out there..who do not deserve our love or respect, or to be looked at as the same as us. When you start thinking everyone in the world is the "same"..has the same values..the same thoughts..the same respect..then you start to seriously think about what they are saying and you take their words to heart. In a perfect world..we all would love and respect each other. But this ISN'T a perfect world..and we need to remember that. And Tamera..please just focus on your beautiful family and those who love you..and STOP reading those hateful comments. Hire an assistant to filter them out for you..because what you don't see can't hurt you..and you will never meet those nasty people in real life anyways. Blessings to you..and remember..it's only what YOU think about you that matters..not anyone else. HUGS!

Re: adg100 – It's people like you who are part of the problem..not the solution. We all have our troubles.heartaches..and pains. But that doesn't mean we should have a contest as to whom hurts the most..and those who don't should just shut up about it. Everyone is entitled to talk about their pain..and everyone is entitled to love, compassion and understanding. Money has nothing to do with that..because money doesn't heal emotional wounds. You on the other hand are just being a really nasty and awful person with these comments. As a matter of fact..YOU are one of the people she is talking about..because you not having any compassion for her pain is as bad as you being the person who caused it. Grow a heart. Learn compassion. Stop judging. And just be a better human being..because right now..you are failing miserably at it!

Can't believe interracial marriages are still an issue nowadays. My goodness!

America, land of the…free? Seriously, I've dated guys outside my race a lot and have never had anything negative said to me, no negative looks and I never felt like people felt anything by indifference towards it. But then again I don't live in the US.

In the future most of us will be mixed racially in some way anyways. Which will be good for evolutionary/health purposes. Just like how mutts are healthier than pure bred dogs, I think humans are similar in that aspect.

Re: fid – Uh yeah, and you're not a celebrity. Of course non-celebrities get hated on interracial dating as well, but with celebrities just look at the ignorant comments people make on Youtube comments, blogs, even the comments on perezhilton! Anything and everything people can rip apart, they do. On-top of that, you may THINK nobody is saying anything, but you'd be surprised what is being said behind your back.

Re: adg100 – You should try to determine why you are so angry. Your commentary sounds so angry that it cannot possibly be about this issue. Look deeper. It may be something more serious that is truly bothering you.

] Your personal experiences are irrelevant. Your personal experiences do not give you the right to trivialize a women's feelings. She expressed how she has been treated. Yes, Tamera is a product of an interracial marriage but to say she has never experienced hardship? That is an ignorance I cannot fathom.
