There's no reason Jamie would need to be protective over Dakota, nobody likes her!

If the author wanted to stay true to the books she wouldn't have allowed Dakota Johnson to be cast as Ana and a lot of the rest of the cast either! So either she is full of crap, or she was so influenced and brainwashed by the team and director that she is letting is all slip and is giving it, but is disguising it under "happiness". Of course she'd never say she doesn't like or approve of something because she'd be sabotaging her own film. Unfortunately, by this cast alone and other factors it's already been ruined! Also, they're so full of crap about this chemistry and perfect actor sh*t. They've been shoving these actors down our throats and overly praising them from the beginning to try and convince people they've done something right. A producer or source should never have to talk up their actors that much. It's ridiculous.

I like Dakota as Ana sure I pictured her to look younger but seriously who care no matter who is chosen to play any character people won't be happy because they pictured someone else while reading the books for eg everyone hating Dakota as Ana was me hating Charlie as Christian and when he dropped out and Jamie came in I was like thank god best decision that has ever been made but I still said there people out there probably loved Charlie as Christian what I'm trying to prove here is give up you complaining about Dakota won't do anything the movies nearly done so if you don't like her as Ana simple don't watch it.

I actually like the casting. Yes, Ana is a more shyer character than Dakota, but hey- have we all forgotten that she is supposed to challenge Christian?
