The singer, who is pregnant with twins, WILL headline the festival in 2018 -- so at least the BeyHive has that!
In a statement to The Associated Press on Thursday, Bey's Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice said:
Apparently being at the Rose Bowl is better than words for the boy band!
When One Direction announced their Where We Are tour of 2014, they had already booked two nights at the stadium in Pasadena.
“It’s really amazing. If you think about the history of the Rose Bowl that this is the first band ever the play three nights in our stadium in the 90 plus years of this place. It will be a lot of excitement in all of Pasadena for the One Direction days in September.”
How could it not be exciting?!
We bet the townies of Pasadena will be preparing for all the madness come September!
Executive Vice President of Booking for Live Nation in SoCal & Las Vegas, Rich Best, said of the tremendous feat:
“This is truly historic. No artist has played three nights at Rose Bowl Stadium before. That speaks to One Direction’s tremendous impact right now. It also reinforces the Rose Bowl’s status as a go-to venue for major shows. Concerts on this scale call for the infrastructure and expertise that the Rose Bowl is known for in the live-event industry.”
We have a feeling Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne will receive a HUGE warm welcome when they arrive!
Maybe they could move 1D day to 1D week and just celebrate every day in September?!
