Scarlett Johansson's Relationship With Oxfam International Fizzes Out Over Bubbly SodaStream Controversy!

Bubble, bubble, toil and TROUBLE!

Scarlett Johansson's humanitarian efforts are in some deep fizz with the group Oxfam International…

But why, you ask?!

After being an Oxfam ambassador for upwards to eight years, the Don Jon actress is being criticized for supporting SodaStream, an Israeli company that operates in the West Bank.

Apparently, the starlet and Oxfam have a "fundamental difference of opinion" in regards to boycotts and sanctions for companies that produce their goods in that part of the world—which has forced the movie star to step down from her position.

In a statement following Scarjo's exit announcement, the group revealed:

"While Oxfam respects the independence of our ambassadors, Ms. Johansson's role promoting the company SodaStream is incompatible with her role as an Oxfam Global Ambassador. Oxfam believes that businesses, such as SodaStream, that operate in settlements further the ongoing poverty and denial of rights of the Palestinian communities that we work to support. Oxfam is opposed to all trade from Israeli settlements, which are illegal under international law. Ms. Johansson has worked with Oxfam since 2005 and in 2007 became a Global Ambassador, helping to highlight the impact of natural disasters and raise funds to save lives and fight poverty."

Miz Johansson has always defended her work with SodaStream as their global ambassador, because of the important "economic cooperation and social interaction between a democratic Israel and Palestine."

Hopefully all this controversy fizzles out! Ha!

Politics aside, we can't wait to see Scarlett sucking on some bubbly drinks when her SodaStream commercial airs during the Super Bowl on Sunday!

Hopefully the entire ad wasn't actually banned like the rumors have been saying!

She supports the EXTREMELY EVIL TERRORIST make-believe country of Israel; SodaStream BULL-DOZED over, squished, & buried alive little Palestinian children to build their factory on the West Bank.

She's absolute scum of the earth. I hope she learns that she can't have it all, her airhead "politics" need a little think through but in the end, of course, $$ talks. And, she's fugly plain and can't act, but that's another story. How she made it one can only imagine. Gross.

    Oxfam is a SCAM; it's CEO rakes-in $560,000 a year , and the organization has 38 execs making over $100,00 a year.
The ONLY POVERTY OXFAM is preventing …is it's CEO & EXECS!

Why don't you research the facts before you say anything and think about what you are saying? A company that has Israeli's and Palestinians working together peacefully and everyone gets the same pay and benefits is a bad thing? For who? Better to have unemployment and more hate?

It's an example of what we need more of all ovr the world rather than anti-semetic, moronic comments like yours. There would be peace if people tried to find solutions instead of making ignorant remarks in public based on spewed out rhetoric they overhear elsewhere.

Oxfam has no place picking political sides. Neither are Israeli homes or businesses "illegal" in the disputed territory. Go Scarlett!! Fight bigotry!! Stand up for the truth!!

Re: The truth teller – Israel has NO right to build settlements on occupied territories. That is international law. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Hey "overthere" - are you an international lawyer or something? Last I checked your statement is DISPUTED. In fact, there's a whole war going on about it. Also, building a condo in the middle of the dessert is truly no crime.
