philip seymour hoffman heroin 65 bags revised estimates tragic passing new york

This story grows more heart-wrenching by the hour!

We had previously heard Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his NYC apartment surrounded by 50 bags of heroin, but officials have revised their original estimate. They're now saying the 46-year-old actor was found with even more of the illicit narcotic than they first thought.

As it turns out, first responders found 65 bags filled with heroin in his apartment. This is in addition to five other empty bags, a variety of prescription medicine, and about 20 used syringes — one of which was tragically still sticking from his arm when he was found.

Ughh. It just breaks our heart.

The investigation is still underway, but cops analyzed the heroin found at the Catching Fire star's Greenwich Village pad and they're saying it was NOT laced with fentanyl.

In case you somehow hadn't heard, Philip's body was discovered on Sunday by friend and fellow artist David Katz. David had decided to check in on the iconic film and stage star after learning he had failed to pick up his kids earlier in the morning.

Rest in peace, good sir. You will continue to be missed.

Re: chaz bonos cock – you feel better on-line bullying? Your avatar name is not funny…making fun of someone who has had a gender struggle is funny to you? Vile…what is also vile is PSH is no different than a street junkie…an addict is an addict..actor or not…who cares…He was a man who left three small children with the reality that their dad died with a syringe in his arm…Thankfully there is therapy, but enough of this "he was a great man" stuff…clearly he was not.

why would anyone want to do hardcore drugs?

65 bags ? clearly he was a man with a plan. addiction is such an insidious disease. another one bites the dust. so sad for everyone involved. yes, him too. you people throwing shade at him for the circumstances of his death obviously do not have a clue about addiction.

Not familiar with the kind of money he had nor that type of addiction myself, would that be considered normal for a wealthy user, or could it be reasoned as a possible suicide? 65 servings of any drug seems like an awful lot.

I guess being a celebrity also means being an idiot. I feel bad for his family. Why would you do drugs? Because you have a shit ton of money and are bored? Addiction isn't a disease…you can prevent it by not doing it in the first place. I liked him as an actor, but I have little sympathy for him as a person. A real disease is leukemia.

You are such an idiot Perez/Mario/retard! I love how you upped the amount to 65 bags from 50. Where the fuck did you pull that number out of. Why don't you do some real reporting for yourself instead of copying everyone else's bullshit and lies you fuckwit!
