Ahh, to hear his voice again!!
Months after his death and Cory Monteith is still with us in spirit.
Bonnie Dune, the band that the late Glee star was involved in, is set to release six songs Cory worked on before he tragically passed away last May.
For the first time, Justin Wilczynski, the lead vocalist and close friend to Cory decided with the band it was finally time to release the songs they worked on together.
"We finished these particular six songs quite a while ago. Some things happened where Cory needed to take a break and we realized that he was struggling and that he was having a hard time, so we took a bit of a hiatus from the writing and recording process.
We were always thinking we were going to go back and do more songs to release a full length record–I wanted to do a 10-song record. When Cory passed we decided we would just release all the songs we recorded with him and release all the ones that we have."
It was a great decision to make!
The world loved Cory, and this is definitely something they would all appreciate.
When asked if this is a farewell album to Cory, Justin responded:
[It's a] celebration of his life and what he enjoyed doing. He definitely meant a lot to us and it was something that Cory really had a great time doing, we all did."
Justin also went on to recall the day he played back all of their recorded songs to the late actor, he said Cory was super excited after hearing the finished tracks.
The Bonnie Dune lead singer revisited the memory, saying:
"'This is amazing, I cannot believe how great it turned out.' I've never seen him that excited about a recording before."
His legacy will live on through these songs and it'll live on through his wonderful friends!
