This, of all the deaths so far, is truly a loss. She was what all child stars should've aspired to be like: dedicated, charming, and talent spilling from every pore in every outlet she pursued. And she didn't go crazy or hang on to any career for the sake of having a film career. She'll be terribly missed.

Re: Michael – I agree. She was a child star who managed to be a productive member of society after her show-biz career was over. Amazing talent, but also an amazing fortitude.

Re: Amy – That's what I'm fucking wondering. This is the guy who had Cory Monteith as the top story for MONTHS after his ass overdosed when so many other things happened that were much more important, like Eileen Brennan passing away from cancer, when she was an OSCAR nominated actress. Not a Glee addict. And Shirley Temple, literally the most famous child actor in history, isn't a top story? His priorities are fucked up to the highest degree.

RIP Shirley Temple. A true example of what a child star should be. Very talented–you will be missed!

There will never be a more beautiful little girl than Shirley Temple.

This is a true loss. I remember when I was a child my late grandmother would gift me Shirley Temple and The Little Rascals VHS tapes. She always encouraged me to watch that kind of thing, and I enjoyed every VHS she ever bought.
