Disney's Frozen Already Getting A Sequel? Filmmakers Tease Plans!

With Frozen closing in on a billion dollars worldwide gross, a sequel may be a foregone conclusion.

But in the past, Disney has been known to throw together straight-to-DVD sequels, often with new creative teams.

In fact, only three Disney animated films have gotten theatrical sequels: The Rescuers, Tarzan, and The Jungle Book. And those weren't huge hits.

But can the glass-ceiling busting Frozen change all that?

Directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee did a Reddit AMA on Monday, and when asked about a sequel, they coyly answered:

"Anythings possible, who knows what's next. We love these characters."

They aren't the only ones who are thinking about it. Disney CEO Bob Iger himself said:

"This has real franchise potential. We expect to see not just new product but continued interest in this and continued impact on the bottom line for quite awhile. Its success speaks volumes on the future of animation at our company."

Sounds like Disney isn't ready to come in from the cold hard cash just yet!

Good for us!

Guys, come on, do you expect Perez's writers to check their facts? I mean look at that Harry Styles/Taylor Swift post that they jumped the gun on… And for once they retracted it instead of deleting the original post.
