Religion is a form of mental illness based on superstitions similar to "Step on a crack, break your mother's back." If you don't like gays, don't be gay. It's as simple as that. If you have the right to pass laws against gays, then we have the right to pass laws against you.

Anne Rice is missing the point. Christians are NOT HATING on Ellen and other gays, we just think the topic is boring…

Move on to a new cause. This one is played out….. No hate… just bored… God bless the gays… O.K. now can we move on to another topic… Nobody care about your sexual orientation. The straights don't care, the gays don't care, the Klingons don;t care…

Don't you get it…. There are too many other really serious issues in our culture that are of REAL consequence that need to be focussed on. Our culture just does not have the time or the resources to focus on your inconsequential sexual preference. Grow up, become an adult and move on to important things.

Both Page's speech and Rice's response deserve the standing ovation they got! I am tired of the backward notion that all Christians are willfully ignorant homophobes. Thanks hihg-profile people like Page and Rice more people are starting to speak up and act out for justice.

I'm sick of gay this gay that… but I can understand how a celebrity, male or female, decides to "come out" "publicly." Better this way than having some loser website owner pig like Perez, etc., thinking they broke the story by posting photos of her with another woman. So for celebrities, I can understand them wanting it know publicly without giving the gossip rags the power and income.

Re: Kimberly Knight – if it's boring, and you don't care, please do NOT come here to tell us publicly that you "don't care." If you don't care, don't expect us to care that you don't care! lol

Re: Kris – Yep, of course, because making sure all people are treated equally and fairly isn't a huge issue in this country at all!

Re: Kimberly Knight – I think you are grossly missing the point, and talking out of your ass. You obviously weren't on Anne Rice's page when she got the responses to her post about Ellen ( you know, the whole point of THIS post?) Whether we care if Ellen page is gay is wholly BESIDE the point.

Can we move on from this debate already. Some are against gays and some are pro-gay or gay. Who cares! Be whoever you want to be, but don't try to make me accept it and change. I am Christian and believe in the Bible, you are not and think its ok to be homosexual. You believe what you want and I will believe what I want. God Bless Everyone!

    Dear Sara,

I have a serious question. Could you please site the passage or passages in the Old or New Testament (Chapters and Verses) upon which you have formed your opinion on homosexuality.

I am sincerely curious about what and where in the bible this topic is addressed.
