This may sound cheesy, but I was at an Ellen show taping last Tuesday, I was front row, right in front of Ellens chair. Portia came walking out during a 'break' & sat behind the cameras. I saw Ellen look at her & Ellens face lit up, it was beautiful. I've never seen anyones face beam like that. It was lovely to see.

Really, what is not to like about Ellen? Gay or straight, she is a better human being than most people. As a straight male who was married to the love of his life for over thirty years, her comment comes across as genuine and, more importantly, true.

I've heard Ellen is not as genuine off-camera as you would think, and does come off a bit self-centered, but as far as their marriage, I think any gay couple that has had to FIGHT for the right to be married is going to last 10 times longer than one based on a woman just wanting a big ceremony and/or just to latch on to her man, like 90% of straight marriages. Kudos to them!

You have used the incorrect spelling of "its".

"It's" with an apostrophe is short for "it is" or "it has". Possessive "its" does not require an apostrophe.

You have a responsibility to use English correctly. People are increasingly becoming lazy and using incorrect grammar and spelling, and it just undermines everything you say.

On a similar vein, people have started pluralising words by adding " 's ". For example, instead of writing "dogs", they write "dog's".

By incorrectly spelling "its" you exacerbate the descent of journalist standards in general, and your poor English is copied by ignorant people who don't know any better.

Please, stop. Please, learn to spell. Do it for the sake of your credibility.
