Pizzeria Serves Up A Deep Dish Diss To Arizona Lawmakers Who Passed Anti-Gay Bill!

Revenge is usually a dish best served cold. But one Arizona pizzeria is unleashing a piping-hot plate of payback to lawmakers who passed an anti-gay bill this week!

AZ Senate Bill 1062 gives business owners in the state the right to deny service to the LGBT community based on religious freedom!

So basically, legal discrimination…


As sick to our stomachs as this bill makes us, we might still have an appetite for a slice of Rocco’s Little Chicago pizza because their new store policy is just DELICIOUS!

They’re reserving the right to refuse service to Arizona legislators!


Rocco’s posted this picture (above) on Facebook of a sign hanging in their window that states the restaurant's new anti-politician policy, along with a caption that read:

"Funny how just being decent is starting to seem radical these days.”

The bill passed both houses of the Arizona state legislature and will now head to Governor Jan Brewer who can either veto it or sign it into law.

Spoiler alert, Jan is a very conservative Republican who once got into President Obama’s face!

Soooo, we’re assuming she’s going to put her John Hancock all over this thing while whistling a tune.

If you want to put hatred on the books of your state, Governor Brewer, go for it. But remember, NO PIZZA FOR YOU!

    It's extremely fucked up to call out LGBT people in a bill specifically, especially since people have always had the right to refuse service for any reason. Whether it's immoral or unethical to do so, everyone has the right to refuse entry onto their private property for whatever reason, or for no reason. Just because it's a business doesn't make it public property, and nobody has any right to anyone else's labor or property, just like no business owner has any right to anybody's money. I don't support the law, but I do understand the principles behind it.

    I DO NOT approve of refusing service to people for any reason, but people do have the right to do (or not do) what they want with their property. This bill will save good people from awful service, though. I wouldn't ever want to support a business that discriminates like this, and I'd never want to be served by or give my money to a bigot anyway. Don't worry, business that do this will go under of their own accord simply because they do it.

    As an Arizonan, I am embarressed and horrified that this has happened. We aren't like this…renegade legislators are misrepresenting their constituents and we are writing letters, protesting etc to change this.

    It is honestly disgusting that People in this Country can be given authority to segregate and discriminate against other legal citizens " ALL MEN AND WOMEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO PURSUE HAPPINESS? This is our constitutional right. Its Time we start acting like it! If this bill passes there better be a revolution or I will lead one myself.

    I think Arizona will start feeling the heat. We had a trip planned to Phoenix and that isn't going to happen now. Next, you'll have Republicans refusing service to democrats, non-Christians, blacks, anyone who isn't a bitter old white guy.

    Re: jrex – that's the problem, people have lost that right. That baker in Colorado refused to make a same sex couple a wedding cake because of his religious beliefs that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. He even offered them to make anything else just not a wedding cake. The gay couple, rather than respect the man's religious beliefs and go else where, decided to deny the baker his right to his religious beliefs and sued him. A judge then ruled that the baker HAD to make them a wedding cake or face jail time. I think this law was implemented to prevent gays from forcing people to have to violate their religious beliefs. The best way that gay couple could have dealt with that baker would have been to go elsewhere to get their cake and then tell everyone they know not to take their business to that bakery. THAT would have been best way to handle it rather than taking it to court and trying to force someone to do something they don't believe in doing.

    This would also apply to non-Chrisitans, too. What if that gay couple had gone to Jewish-owned catering company? What if they wanted to serve roasted pig at their reception? Judaism prohibits the consumption of pork so I doubt a Jewish caterer would be offering pork to anyone. The gay couple would once again have been denied. Would the gay couple have taken them to court, too, and tried to get a judge to force them to serve pig?

    Let me point out that this business is in Tucson. This part of the state wants no truck with the morons in Phoenix.

    The governor has not signed this bill into law yet and if she knows what is good for the state won't. If she does my house will be on the market the next day

    The owner of this pizzeria deserves an award! If the governor signs this repulsive bill then no one should invest or travel to Arizona anymore. People should let these foolish bigoted AZ lawmakers and governor realize that DISCRIMINATION will not be tolerated!

    Religious freedom ends when one's basic rights begin. If I am a DEVOUT CATHOLIC who disagrees with DIVORCE, do I have a right to refuse my services to a person who is divorced?! Absolutely not. That would be outright discrimination.

    I think you are confused about how private property and private business works. Taking the chance and working hard at being a self-employed business owner must come with some perks. And, it does, this law is constitional and it makes perfect sense. After you have researched the constitutional issue related to this law you will come to agree with me and support the law.Email or call Governors Brewers office to offer your support.
