Well, he finally had his day in court!
The soulful singer pled no contest to the DUI charge earlier today and — unlike many celebz accused or convicted of the same crime — he decided to step up and take responsibility for his actions.
"Driving with alcohol in my system was reckless. I'm really sorry and I'm taking responsibility for this mistake."
Miguel's fans probably appreciated the apology, but did the judge?
Judge Lynn Hobbs sentenced the 28-year-old stud to 3 years probation, ordered him to complete an alcohol awareness class, and also fine him $360 dollars.
Hmmm, sounds like she could've thrown the book at him, but didn't!
Maybe that's because he was kind enough NOT to throw his balls at her face, LOLz! He does have a habit of doing that after all!
