Some very sad news about a man who made countless people laugh.
Actor, writer, and director Harold Ramis died at his home in Chicago today, surrounded by his family.
The successful filmmaker passed away from complications related to auto-immune inflammatory vasculitis, a disease he had been battling for four years.
Audiences knew him on-screen as Dr. Egon Spengler from Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. Both movies were also written by Ramis.
Other comedy classics penned by him include Animal House, Caddyshack, Back to School, Stripes, Meatballs and Analyze This.
Harold Ramis was 69.
Rest in peace, funny man.
