We think it's safe to say that SONY didn't have the best 2014.
The only things that are certain are death and taxes, even in the film industry apparently!
House of Cards was set to begin filming in Maryland in the spring, but they can’t get the tax breaks they need to start production!
Apparently, they got $11 million in breaks the first season, $15 million the second, and that’s how much they wanted for the third as well. But the government said NO! And the max they can get is $7.5 million, or half of what they wanted.
Kind of inneresting that a show about government conspiracy can’t catch a break, huh?
So, production is now set to begin in June, and in the meantime they’re looking for a new state to film in, in case they can’t strike a deal.
C’mon tax people, you know you don’t want to wait longer than a year for the third season either!
