The plug has been pulled on Piers Morgan Live!
Bugger and blast!
The CNN nightly news program, hosted by, you guessed it, Piers Morgan, has been plagued by consistently low ratings, including last week when the primetime show scored its second-lowest numbers to date!
The cable news network will now search for someone or something to place in its 9pm slot. An end date for Piers has not yet been decided.
A former judge on America’s Got Talent, Piers replaced Larry King in 2011. The back-talking Brit was candid about why his show failed and spoke over the weekend about his and CNN president Jeff Zucker’s decision to end the program.
"Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it. That’s run its course and Jeff and I have been talking for some time about different ways of using me.”
Sounds like Mr. Morgan might still have a role on the network?
