Teresa & Joe Giudice May Escape Serious Prison Time! See The Plea Deal They Offered The U.S. Attorney’s Office HERE!

teresa and joe guidice offer us attorneys plea deal

Looks like their long legal battle could be coming to an end… maybe.

Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice are currently dealing with a 41-count indictment, because of their mail and wire fraud conspiracy, but they may make it out of this without having to do tons of jail time.

Actually, Teresa may not have to do any!

Joe previously took the blame for what happened, but both parties will suffer some kind of punishment in the plea deal they’ve offered the U.S. Attorney’s office.

In this deal, Joe will get locked up for at least five years, and Teresa will stay out of jail, but serve a max of five years probation. In addition, they’ll pay $11 million in restitution.

Sounds kind of short for two people facing 50 years, no?

But these two have kids to think of, so at least having Teresa home allows them to grow up with one of their parents.

Teresa and Joe will hear back on Tuesday whether or not the U.S. Attorney will take their deal.

They were crying poverty a couple of months ago…….where are they getting the millions of dollars? You should not be allowed to buy your way out of jail time and that's what they are trying to do. I hope they both go to jail.

The prosecution doesn't need a plea deal, the IRS could go on another 10 rounds and they have all the evidence in the world against these two. They better throw Teresa in the clink too, they have abundant evidence she's a criminal too.

whatever happened to do the crime do the time? and where are they getting 11 million? they bilked the government out of much more than that, why don't they pay it all back? and as for having kids, there are plenty of kids who have both their parents imprisoned or are otherwise parentless. once again fame can buy one's way past the american justice system. if these two weren't semi famous for 15 minutes they would both be in jail and the kids would be raised by family members, hopefully the relatives would not be corrupt and will teach the kids some morality. what their parents apparently can't seem to do.

Wow…I call BULLSH*T!!! While I empathize with respect to the children, when they were "allegedly" (wink) committing all of these crimes, in that thought process where did their children come into play? Goes to show you that their are different rules for different folks. Pays to be a "broke-a*s reality wannabe star! Something wrong with this picture. Smh….

Getting the 11 million to pay the fine should be no problem
They can go to Andy (PopEye)Cohen and sign a deal to do a reality show with Joe in prison, lots of big sweaty mens, pumping in the yard, rude remarks being made about some of the gayboys, lights out moaning and groaning,
And than Teresa all gussied up for her Sunday visit

A federal judge can ignore the plea deal if he or she decides some other sentence is more appropriate.
The prosecutors often throw a LOT of charges at a defendant so as to persuade them to plea. Not that the charges are not valid. Part of the plea can include the prosecutor dropping some of the charges or lessening the severity of some of the charges. So that would likely lessen the severity of the sentence.
However, the prosecutor can ONLY RECOMMEND a sentence to the judge. Say the recommendation is a five year sentence. The judge does not have to do that. The judge is by law not a party to the plea bargain. The judge can hand down a much stiffer penalty than is recommended. Or a lesser sentence.
Regardless of the plea bargain, if there is a plea bargain, Joe and Teresa do not know the outcome until the judge decides.

Also. Federal convicts must serve at least 87% of the sentence before they can be considered for parole.

Re: suzannaramirez – These children need their parents. Let's let everyone in jail that has children go free. Or is it just the white ones with money?

Not sure if this story is a rehash of an older plea or another really recent plea. I believe the Giudices tried something close to the details in this story. As in early on after the indictments. That news story said the US Attorney back then turned it down flat! Saying if the Plea doesn't have both Joe and Tre doing time then don't bother submitting another one. Ouch!

I'm seeing other stories of Tre asking for Court Dates to be moved up. I can only guess as to why Tre wants to go to prison sooner? Other than Bravo is filming now and possible if Tre and get in court now Instead of April. That's another Bravo payday for Tre (possible her last). Bravo keep saying April Trial wouldn't work for the filming crew and Bravo would totally miss out.

Re: TOOTSIE – Obviously thre government has an AIRTIGHT CASE otherwise they would not have accepted a plea deal.I hope the judge throws the book at both of them during the penalty phase. Everyone who pays their taxes should want to see these two rot in prison. BTW - ever notice how much Juicy looks like Al Capone - and they got him on tax fraud too….

They deserve jail time. Teresa bringing up their daughters is a manipulative ploy. If they mean so much to her she would have thought about it before she did all this. Guilty as Joe, give her kids to her brother and let em both go bust rocks….

  17. ladyoflzur says – reply to this

Both of them should absolutely do jail time and Joe should be deported the moment that his sentence is served.

It is a very sad day in America when the justice system is so blind to equality. It should not matter who you are, if you have children or not, have money, etc. If you do the crime, you should do the time. The jails and prisons are full of mothers and fathers, mostly African American, so what about their children? I am sick and tired of seeing people like Paris HIlton, Lindsay Lohan, etc. get a "get out of jail free card" when if they were a minority, they would get the book thrown at them. Judges please wake up!!! You are supposed to be neutral in the eyes of the law. I would understand if Joe going to jail first, and then Teresa for the sake of the children, but for Teresa to not have any jail time, it is absolutely ridiculous! A very sad day in America indeed!

    Wow. people are dense.

There is no current evidence to suggest that they HAVE 11 million, they are simple ordered to pay it. this means that they will have to cease their frilly lifestyle and they will be allowed to keep only a small amount of their income (if its a single person its about $400-500/wk so a family of 6…well, its not bad.)

Look at OJ. he was ordered to pay millions to nicoles family, he paid thousands. they can always hide money in the kids names too, but I'm sure they thought of that.

As for their lifestyle, they likely wouldn't have been caught if they weren't famous, and an investigation of that extent certainly would have never occurred if they were normal people. the us attorney flat out said "we're making an example," and that means sh*t when its normal people.

Their drive for fame & attention ruined them.

  22. samantha says – reply to this

Also, they didn,t bulk the government, they bulked the taxpayers directly by screwing the banks and defaulting on mortgages. the total was $11million, not more. they have no funds to buy their way out of jail, they have nothing. the restitution clause is included to make sure it stays that way until every dime is recouperated.

I'm confused. No mention of the fact that he's not an american. If they were mexican they would be getting deported. They live such a pompous ritzy life style while defrauding our country and it's ok. The funny part is that for those who are familiar with these two, you know they're not going to stop.
