Guess Spider-Man was too busy fighting crime to attend the Oscars!

Andrew Garfield was supposed to be at the star-studded show last night in Hollywood, but instead - he opted for a complete no show, with no reason.

Emma Stone's boyfyy was on the list of CONFIRMED presenters as of late, but mysteriously decided to opt out last minute!

Last week, the show's producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan even revealed he was to be a part of a very moving moment during the broadcast:

"Andrew Garfield is going to be part of what we hope is a very moving moment in the show, which will illustrate the theme of how movies have inspired. He is going to induct a new superhero into the fraternity of superheroes.”

Instead of Andy, Chris Evans introduced the movie heroes segment - safely assuming he was subbing for his pal, because he wasn't on the official presenters list!

What do you think happened to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star?!

We hope he's okay!

I hope he's okay… but I'm sure if something happened, we would have heard something by now. Word gets around. Maybe he's sick? Or just didn't want to go? I don't see him at too many award ceremonies.

Actually kind if worried. The person who dressed them said serious personal reasons for why they didn't show

    Re: Alex

Hope everything is okay :/ maybe something to do with his family? Andrew is my favorite actor.

Why don't you ask the producers what the most memorable moment was in rehearsals? Would have brought the house down last night, but Garfield bailed. No respect, no good reasons, over-inflated ego. Chris Evans introduced a substitute video montage. That was not what/who Garfield was introducing.

The real story: "Not even a 5-year-old boy with cancer could persuade egotistical actor Andrew Garfield to be a presenter at the Academy Awards.
The “Spider-Man” star was supposed to take the stage Sunday with Miles Scott, who has come to be known as “Batkid” after the city of San Francisco let him play superhero there.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences had arranged with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to further make Miles’ dreams come true.
“The academy was going to make him an official superhero during the Oscar ceremony. Andrew Garfield was going to appoint him ‘Batkid.’ But, in the middle of the dress rehearsal, Garfield decided he didn’t like his lines,” said a well-placed source.
“Garfield refused to go by the script. He came up with his own lines. The producers felt that Garfield’s [rewrites] were not appropriate. Garfield had a tantrum. He stormed off. Miles and his family, who were at the rehearsal, were devastated.”
The producers decided to cut the superhero initiation, but they paid for Miles to go to Disneyland.
“Garfield was such a spoiled brat that he didn’t even want to be a presenter,” said my source. The academy had to call “Captain America” star Chris Evans to sub at the last minute."

I read he acted like a whiny brat and didn't want to do the skit. Hope he gets canned as an actor. More like mediocre actor.
