Neil Patrick Harris Compliments Ellen Degeneres On Her Hosting Job, But Throws In A Side Of Shade Too! See What He Said HERE!!

| Filed under: Ellen DeGeneresNeil Patrick HarrisOscarsRed Carpet

Neil Patrick Harris compliments Ellen then throws some shade! Yikes!

Uh oh! The claws have come out!

Neil Patrick Harris attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party with his beau David Burtka and he was asked his thoughts on how Ellen Degeneres did as a host!

And what did he have to say about it all?!

Well, NPH started off by giving her some high praise for the show, but then he did NOT hold back when it came to throwing in a little bit of shade!

He said:

"I thought Ellen was great. I was watching the show, anticipating some big opening number, and then she just walked out and told some jokes, and brought everyone down in a casual way. It was lovely."

See, he was totally nice!

BUUUUT unfortunately, he didn't stop there!

His victim? Ellen's HIGHlarious pizza party!

NPH continued:

"That [pizza] bit went on for a while didn't it? I won't lie to you about that. I was like, where you going with the pizza babe?"

Yikes! Tell us how you really feel!

Well, uh, at least he complimented Ellen before he slammed her?!

That's gotta count for something!

Oh Doogie Howser, who cares what you think…so quick to judge…Leave her alone…99.9% of the population could not do what she did last night, including you, Doogie. People are so quick to criticize, yet they cannot even get close to the quality they are judging…humans, yuck.

    Re: yea yea
You're right. He has only hosted the Tony awards 4 times. He did an amazing job every time. You act like he said something horrible about her.
The pizza bit did go on for too long. It was boring.

Re: all actors are homos – You are insanely offensive…Ellen being gay has nothing to with anything, if more people were like Ellen, the world would be a much better place!! When's the last time u stepped off your high horse to help someone like she does everyday??? The world would be better without people who contribute nothing but negativity like you!

Re: MJaded – It's funny because I've never really heard of its supposed extraordinary host talent for the Tony awards. Possibly they were not so extraordinary that we like to believe it?
I have often heard from galas led by some very brilliant hosts, kind these some British celebrities coming to the rescue in order to avoid a disaster. But for what is in report with good hosts of galas who are originate from United States? We must be able to count them all easily on the fingers of the hand.

Re: all actors are homos – You and Susie are repulsive people. I fervently hope you are both sterile.

Re: Teresa Andrews – You seem to expect so many things. It's kind beautiful by its naivety.

    Re: :þ
I never used the word "extraordinary". I said he was amazing. That is proven by the fact that he was asked to host 4 times. He has even won 3 Emmy awards for hosting. He was asked to host again this year.

Yeah her dig at Liza was to forgivable. Ellen is the one who looks like a an and being in the GLTB community she should know better than to say that crap.

Look in the mirror Ellen, look at yourself first, "sir."

I don't think he meant it as a slam. It was just a observation.

I really like Ellen and I thought she was funny when she hosted the Oscars years ago. This one seemed last minute, like she wrote it the night before or just made it up while on stage. It wasn't very funny and it was similar to what she did last time (selfies with celebrities) but it was fine. The most boring part was the Oscars itself. Maybe they should learn to condense the damn show down to 2 hours perhaps? So much filler.

I love Ellen, but the pizza thing was lame and the Liza joke was not funny at best, offensive at worst.
And NPH is entitled to his opinion - they asked him after all.

I've seen him hosted the Tony awards, for some reason he thinks he could sing.
He's terrible, not funny, maybe gays like him but definably turns off straight people.
    At least Ellen was funny.

Wait is that considered a slam? He was right it went on for awhile because they got rid of the Andrew Garfield bit and needed to fill in the time.
