Bill Murray Is Stuck In The Wrong Year At The Oscars! Watch His Mistake HERE!

Can someone get Bill Murray a calendar or something, because we're pretty sure he doesn't know what year it is!!

The hilarious actor took the stage at the 2014 Oscars with Amy Adams to hand out the award for an achievement in Cinematography!

The only problem is, he made a teeny tiny mistake when he was getting ready to open the envelope! He said:

"The 2013 Oscar for the Best Cinematography in a major motion picture is gonna go home with…"

Hmmmm. Last time we checked we were in the year 2014!!

Perhaps we have a Groundhog Day situation over here and he's just stuck in the same day over and over again!

Ch-ch-check out his flub (above)!

He is getting old and Harold Ramis just passed away. I say he gets a pass.

This wasn't a flub. It was an intentional tribute shout out to his long time friend and comedic genius Harold Ramis who just passed away.

2013 is correct. All the awards are for the year 2013. You…are wrong

  4. Bee says – reply to this

Yeah let's make fun of the old guy that just lost his friend…

You know, i think he was referring to the fact that the movies were movies FROM 2013, so it wasn't actually a flub at all, they were all movies FROM 2013. so technically it is a 2013 Oscar going to the winner, RIGHT?

  6. Erin says – reply to this

Wouldn't it technically be the 2013 oscar when the movies came out in 2013….

  7. Michelle says – reply to this

I am pretty sure he said that because Harold just passed

  8. lala says – reply to this

Perez, It's well said, the awards are for the movies of 2013. You should correct the post instead of pointing some inexistent error.

  9. Kate says – reply to this

Wellllll, all the films were from 2013, so, the award is actually for 2013.

Bill Murray and Harold Ramis didn't speak to each other for almost 20 years. They had a huge fight during the filming of 'Groundhog Day' they never were friends again. Very sad

Ch-ch-check out Perez Hitlon's flub above where he doesn't realize what year the Oscars are recognizing films for! What an idiot!

He was just referring to the fact that the Oscars are for 2013 movies. Just like the Super Bowl, although played in February of this year was played to crown the 2013 champions.

Well he has an alcohol soaked brain and is a
    Angry nasty guy

  14. 14

The films are from 2013, jackass.

Um the oscars were for films relaeased in 2013, doing the Oscars for 2014 would be a bit premature since its only March. Murray was right ;)

  16. Chuck says – reply to this

Don't be an ass. He made amends with Harold before he passed, gave an amazing tribute to him at the show, and the audience loved it. Bill was clearly emotional. Have a heart.

  17. Tay bae says – reply to this

It was for the year 2013 all the movies were made in 2013 so in turn it was the 2013 oscars

  18. Wendy says – reply to this

Yeah, he's right actually, because the awards are for movies released in 2013.

I always forget how moronic internet comments are…. For a celeb gossip blog you think the readers would be all over the most current celebrity news. For example, Harold Ramis passing away last month. This wasn't Bill Murray talking through his "alcohol soaked brain" it was him paying tribute to a comedic legacy and his friend in his own way.

    Y'all suck.

You're obs not a Member of the Academy. Those statues are engraved 2013, dummy.

  22. MIDGET says – reply to this

….this was obviously done on purpose, it's embarrassing for you if you didn't actually catch on to that fact
