We know something is coming at Sunday's VMAs...
...and now we have a better idea of exactly what that might be!
It's happening, it's really happening!
Not too long after Rachel snagged the role of Fanny Brice in Glee, now the Funny Girl show is actually being revived and who better to play the lead than Lea?!
Ryan Murphy has recently obtained the stage rights to the Funny Girl, and in a recent interview, Miz Michele explained where they are in the process and how long until we actually see the superstar in action!
"Yeah, it is. We are definitely talking about it now. We have the rights. And, right now, we are talking to some potential directors - we have someone really amazing in mind. We probably won't have the opportunity to do it for a while, though, because we still have a long time left on Glee. But, yes, you are right - Ryan does have the rights. And, when the time is right and I have had the chance to get some good rest for a while after Glee and I feel ready to do it then definitely we will do it."
All that matters is that it's in the works and we're pretty sure it'll all be carried out!
Of course with our leading lady already chosen, we do wonder who Ryan and Lea will choose to play Nicky Arnstein!
The Cannonball singer laughed it off and played coy, saying:
"Well, I have a couple of guys…Ryan and I have been talking about a couple of people that we think would be good, but, of course, we can't say yet."
We cannot wait!!
Like we said before, who better to play Fanny Brice than the gal playing a character playing Fanny Brice on TV?!
That might've been a little confusing, but you know what we mean!
