This is really sad to hear.

Wait, before we begin, we're just wondering, this the 21st century we live in, right?
It IS the year 2014, right?
So then WHY do people still 1. feel this way about women and 2. feel the need to let their opinions be heard?!
A passenger on a WestJet flight, apparently named David, left the most disgusting, misogynist, RIDICULOUS note for his female pilot, Carey Smith Steacy, and our jaws are still on the ground after reading it.
"To Capt. / WestJet, The cockpit of airlier [sic] is no place for a woman. A woman being a mother is the most honor not as "captain" Proverbs 31 (Sorry not P.C.) P.S. I wish WestJet could tell me a fair lady is at the helm so I can book another flight! Were [sic] short mothers not pilots Westjet. In the end this is all mere vanity. Not impressed. Respectfully with love, David."
WOW! Seriously?! Who CARES if it's a woman pilot?!
Also, the passenger, apparently, felt the need to ask the flight attendants whether Carey had enough flight training hours as well.
But Carey, being the badass pilot that she is, didn't take this lying down.
She took to her Facebook to post photos of the actual note (below) and air her feelings on the comments.
“To @David in 12E on my flight #463 from Calgary to Victoria today. It was my pleasure flying you safely to your destination. Thank you for the note you discreetly left me on your seat. You made sure to ask the flight attendants before we left if I had enough hours to be the Captain so safety is important to you, too. I have heard many comments from people throughout my 17 year career as a pilot. Most of them positive. Your note is, without a doubt, the funniest. It was a joke, right? RIGHT?? I thought, not. You were more than welcome to deplane when you heard I was a “fair lady.” You have that right. Funny, we all, us humans, have the same rights in this great free country of ours. Now, back to my most important role, being a mother.”
DAYUM GIRL. David needs some ice for that burn!!
Carey is not alone, seeing as WestJet issued a statement in regards to the whole thing.
“We take enormous pride in the professionalism, skills and expertise of our pilots and this note is very disappointing.”
All we have to say is YOU GO GIRL!
What do U think, Perezicious readers?!
