True Detective Deleted Scene Reveals A Pretty Important Plot Point! How Could They Have Omitted THIS!

| Filed under: TV NewsMatthew McConaugheyTrue Detective

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! IF YOU'RE STILL CATCHING UP, DON'T READ ON!

We wish time WAS a flat circle, so everyone could be able watch True Detective over and over and over again, forever and ever!

A deleted scene for True Detective has emerged on the internet, finally proving once and for all that the light is winning!

In this scene, Rust Cohle, played alright, alright, alright by Matthew McConaughey, and his girlfriend Laurie breakup over the fact that he doesn't want kids.

But wait, Rust isn't bad for not wanting kids…considering his tragic past with his daughter! How can he be bad when he keeps the other bad man from the door?

Sure, it's no 6-minute long tracking shot, but the scene is still pretty tense! It doesn't leave a bad taste of aluminum and ash in our mouth! Unlike Rust, we can't smell the psychosphere!

Ch-ch-check out the deleted scene that hopefully won't break our website like it was HBO GO (above)!!!

It was omitted because it didn't matter to the overall plot of the movie. We didn't see much of their relationship anyway.

Bro, this is not a plot point. It's a character detail. It is good, but a single scene of that relationship wouldn't have fit in with the overall story, and it didn't really tell us anything we didn't already know.
