If Gaga's fan are going to make themselves puke just because she was desperate enough to add that crap to her show - go ahead. Darwinism at its finest. What a bunch of lemmings.

Perez is still stalking Gaga and riding on her clit I see.

1st of I think the photo is a cry for help.
2nd I think that Gaga focuses a lot of her music on people who feel disenfranchised, lost and takes advantage of that. She tells her 'little monsters' to be themselves but hides behind wigs, costumes and makeup so we never really see or understand her.
3rd and finally I think it's interesting that you Perez attach yourself to celebrities like these only later to find out how destructive they are. I'm sure you do it for business reasons as well as a sense of being part of the 'it' crowd. However you now influence young people too and should be careful who you aline yourself with.

This is so wrong. Yet I bet no one is going to make her issue an apology because she can claim to be "part of the show" how terrible. I use to be a fan, because I loved her originality, but now i'm questioning her morals, values & what she honestly believes in. Sending a message stating its okay to make yourself puke, is one of the worst messages a celebrity could want to have made. It's such a shame. She could lose a lot for this. Personally I kind of hope she does. & to the people who are now taking pictures of them "puking " need to rethink who they value as a role model. It sure ain't " GAGA " anymore

First of all, Gaga isn't the creator of this paint puking fad - it's been around for a very long time. Not that I'm excusing how disgusting it was, but if these fans are stupid enough to follow her every move, then that's their issue. She did it as an artistic expression during a performance, by a model who has done that a million times for legitimate artists. If everyone were to copy everything these celebrities did, then I'm sure Gaga's barf paint wouldn't be the worst thing you see.

In any case, I found the entire thing ridiculous and unnecessary. That being said, I don't discount her as an artist for it, just because I can't understand it. I don't understand a lot of art I see, doesn't mean it's bad - just not for me.

Even as a teenager, I wasn't so influenced by celebrities that I would have forced myself to vomit in order to emulate them. I don't get it.

Re: Mimi the Magnificent – Bulemia is a mental disorder with long term affliction, throwing up paint to make a photo is hardly the same. It neither glamorizes it nor makes light of it.

But yet you're so easily dismissive of Miley posting pictures of herself doing drugs or tattooing her lower lip, which could be just as easily influential and equally not as healthy to her fans.

    17

so ridiculous…. the fashion industry has been glamorizing eating disorders for years. Any fan of hers that follows through with this stupid bit needs actual professional help. Too many impressionable kids out there (adults also apparently).

Perez, they way you 'report' on Lady Gaga is always so negative. You could of used this opportunity to speak your mind and provide some numbers or places for help for the people doing this. I thought you were a role model too Perez, but I guess you are just as wicked as the rest of them. Your poor son would be so ashamed.

  24. KC says – reply to this

    24

Wow. You found a whopping four people imitating Gaga, and who's to say it's real vomit? Perez seems a bitter because Gaga got more press at SXSW than his lame gig.

  25. 25

Re: KC – Oh please, stop trying to find any way you can to defend Gaga. There is NO defense for portraying bulimia on stage, none at all. We all know how Perez is biased against Gaga, but that doesn't have anything to do with this issue. Gaga has been in a downward spiral in overall popularity and album sales since Artpop was released. In fact, based on the millions of dollars that was spent on Artpop's promption, it's a HUGE flop! Gaga has made her mark on pop culture and will always be remembered, but I believe she peaked with Bad Romance. She is now resulting to horrible antics like this to get herself back in the press. It really is deplorable. And its really sad because she is so hugely and immensely talented - much more talented than most of the other pop tarts out there and yet she is wasting it all away by doing stuff like this. It's really sad.

Is it a strange upping the ante to shock more than Miley tries to? Or is she carrying on a theme of hers visually? In 2011, Gaga discussed 'honoring the vomit', where she referred to huge, brief waves of prolific creative musical writing processes that came suddenly and then went.

    27

So if you actually watched the show it was performance art in its purest form. The concept was to get fans and skeptics engaged on whether or not the performance is considered art. The only judge is you - only you can decide . Not a blog colomn. Not a magazine or news reporter .some people will hate it , some will love it . At the end if the day you need to remember we all are free to do whatever we want.

Re: Nastia – you should be ashamed . What gives you the authority to decide what is right or what is wrong ? Do you want to live in a robot society where everyone is the same and all art is the same . Think about it!

" Oh please, stop trying to find any way you can to defend Gaga."
And who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do? It's a not a defense because there's NOTHING to defend. She did nothing wrong. Seriously, is that what you got from it is that she's "promoting bulimia?" You're such a tool. Speaking of biases, apparently you have one, since you seem to want to bring up album sales (like typical f@gs do) which is irrelevant to my comment So please do go fuck yourself, and spare someone the agony of doing so, you pretentious idiot.

    Re: anewlow
And I'm willing to bet you were one of those Madonna fans who was defending Madonna "promoting violence" by pretending to shoot up people onstage when she was releasing grandiose statements trying to call it "art," but of course you'll say it wasn't real blood. It's all the same damn thing.

  31. X says – reply to this

    31

Bulimia isn't just about throwing up, even though vomiting is a part of the condition, but bulimia is a real psychological disease, and some of you need to educate yourself on what bulimia actually is before you say someone is promoting it. Vomiting as a metaphor in art is nothing new, and Gaga isn't the first to do it. BTW, 3 of the 4 pictures on here are of the same person, and all these photos look staged.

  32. Jack van Nistelrooij says – reply to this

    32

OH Perez, you big tit. Let it rest. You're like a little schoolkid who got bullied once and ended up with no friends at all. How sad and unprofessional of you to show this kind of immaturity. You should be setting an example for your little one, but instead you continue to be this ignorant little asshole towards Gaga. So you two had a falling out. And now all you do is trash her on your website or say nothing at all about her. I can't believe you're still pulling these stunts. Seriously..stop being such a little brat and get over it. If you had the least bit of decency in you, you'd either post normal stuff on her or nothing at all. This just goes to show that you cannot grow as a person and I'm actually worried for your little one. Jeez…

What is happening to the world…..these kids are not even realizing how bad this is .. they think it is all "cool" and whatever … Lady Gaga should be ashamed an so should Miley… These women do not understand the magnitude they have on little minds…. you can be sexy .. but you can do it in a way that portrays class and intelligence….

  35. Whatnow2322 says – reply to this

    35

Gaga shouldn't be using her stardom / platform to promote such things. The "art" meaning behind it isn't an excuse to do whatever you want and claim its art. Demi Lovato had it right!

Put her ass in jail for a week and see how smiley she is then! Not very much I bet.
