crazy little mermaid frozen tangled fan theory

WHOA! Consider our minds BLOWN from this!

If this theory is true, then those guys over at Disney really are absolute geniuses!

A fan on tumblr has come up with an absolutely AH-MAZING theory that connects Tangled, Frozen, AND The Little Mermaid.

Now, we know what you're thinking:

"But Perez, Frozen and Tangled ARE connected, WE KNOW THIS because of the Easter egg (below)! "

Yes, BUUUUT, the Little Mermaid connection will BLOW. YOUR. MIND.

The user theorized:

"So if it's true that Elsa & Anna's parents were going to Rapunzel's return celebration 3 years ago (actually when the movie Tangled was released) when their ship sank…
…which was the reason Rapunzel and Flynn felt the need to come to Elsa's coronation 3 years later -as seen in movie-
GUYS.
Kingdom of Corona is in Germany.
Kingdom of Arendelle is in Norway.
The Little Mermaid was near Denmark.

What if that sunken ship in The Little Mermaid is the King and Queen of Arendelle's??

DAMNIT DISNEY. STOP WITH THE FEELS!!"

Oh goodness, we think we need a minute…

And if THAT doesn't convince you enough, then fear not!

There's even picture proof!!

Now that we've seen it, we totally CAN'T un-see it!!!

What do U think about the theory? Is it true?!?!

Yes Rapunzel and Eugene make an appearance in Frozen, but that doesn't mean anything. All the Disney and Pixar movies have Easter eggs like this. The story of Tangled takes place 70 years before Frozen.

Re: sick_girl – It's supposed to be fun and, in a way, cool to see Disney movies connected together. That's the point of Easter Eggs. It's not supposed to be technically analyzed. Of course it's not real. Lighten up. Jeez.

I dont get it. Can someone explain why this is mind boggling?

Re: Jared – This person made these connections and ask "what if it's all connected?" AKA a fan theory, which is open to interpretation and comments. So I'm commenting on it. Cool theory but easily dispelled.

Re: sick_girl – how do you know that Tangled is 70 years before Frozen?

  6. 6

Re: squirrel – Because the directors confirmed that Tangled was set in the 1780s, and Frozen has been confirmed to be set between around 1850/60. And too add even further, The Little Mermaid has been confirmed to be set in the 1830s. So there's no way the ship we saw in TLM was supposed to be the parent's ship.

Yeah, all three of those definitely take place in different time periods. Nice try, though.

    Re: sick_girl

Sooo….how are Rapunzel and Eugene in the film as the same age if Tangled took place 70 years before?

Re: Theotis – Do you not understand what an Easter egg is? A picture of Sully from Monsters Inc. in Brave doesn't mean that it happened during the same time. Having Belle in The Hunchback of Notre Dame doesn't mean it's set in the same time or place. It's an Easter egg. Something fun that animators do, it doesn't make it a canonical story.

Not buying it. Tangled and Frozen, yes. But ship from Little Mermaid is different.

It's not the same boat that sank. Look at the little mermaids boat and look at the boat in frozen that the parents are in before leaving. Two different boats.

"The Little Mermaid" was NOT near Denmark, "The Little Mermaid" was FROM Denmark.
Not to mention Frozen was inspired by the fairytale "The Snow Queen", written by the same author: H.C. Anderson (100% Dane). Ah, after getting the facts straight I feel so much better. :)

The director of Frozen has suggested Frozen and Tarzan are connected too.
