Talk About The Scariest Commute To The Airport Ever! Chicago Train Derails At O'Hare International!

Traveling to the airport can truly be a nightmare, but this train ride easily takes the cake as the worst (and perhaps trippiest) trip ever!

An 8-car Chicago commuter train entering the O'Hare International Airport underground station at 2:50 a.m. today derailed and actually made its way up the escalator!

Thankfully, no one was critically hurt, but 32 people were injured onboard. So scary.

The runaway Blue Line train was apparently going much faster than it was supposed to be going into its terminus at the usually bustling airport station!

The train could not be stopped by the shock-absorbant bumper post at the end of the platform, and it ended up going over the platform and then up some stairs and an escalator!

It's like the train was trying to escape! But…that's a ridiculous thought! A train that can think and act for itself! Ha! That's impossible…isn't it?

Because it was during the wee hours of this morning, the accident happened during a time with notoriously low levels of riders!

The CTA is currently looking into the exact cause of the derailment.

Totally not impossible that the train was thinking for itself, have you not read Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Blain the Monorail has come to Chicago :)
