Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Crash Site Found, Officials Confirm Plane 'Ended In The Southern Indian Ocean'

malaysian airlines flight 370 crash site found determined satellite data search lost plane

Thanks to the combined efforts of aviation and rescue experts around the world, Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 has officially been found.

Though no wreckage has yet been recovered, new satellite data, in conjunction with what was already known, has revealed the location where the missing plane went down.

Because the flight went down in the middle of the ocean, it seems investigators have officially given up hope of any survivors. Malaysian Airlines issued the following statement:

"We deeply regret that we have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and that none of those on board survived… We must now accept all evidence suggests the plane went down in the Southern Indian Ocean."

A heartbreaking statement of defeat. Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak backed the story in his own statement Monday morning. He said:

"This is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites. It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that, according to this new data, flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean."

We may have had weeks to brace ourselves for this news, but it doesn't make it any easier to bear. But the PM did have some words of determination. He said:

"The ongoing multinational search operation will continue, as we seek answers to the questions which remain."

We hope something can be found to give some closure to the families of the 239 lost souls. So tragic.

This is a misleading title. The crash site hasn't been found, they are just assuming it has been lost in the Indian Ocean. "Crash Site Found, it crashed somewhere on the planet Earth"

My condolences to the families. And to the nutjobs who suggested that aliens abducted the plane? Sorry. And with today's technology and alot of patience, we can probably find all those missing bermuda triangle planes too.

    Re: Jays

1400 miles from Australia/Indian Ocean. No way this plane is hijacked or landed.

    Sad but true. RIP.

Re: Jays – Agreed. A very misleading and inaccurate title. The crash site was definitely not found. Their "new data" from a never before used "analysis" only concludes that it went down somewhere in the Indian Ocean and because it is so remote and far away from land that there was no was that any one would survive being in the water.

13 more days before the black box signal will end transmitting. I hope they will find it.

Re: Jays – ^^^^^This 1000x. Perez- you contradict yourself in the first two sentences. This is completely irresponsible- NOTHING HAS BEEN FOUND. They ASSUME. ASSUME. No crash site, no wreckage, and dammit no "new" satellite data. That shit takes 17 days to uncover- NOPE. THis is a BS cover for Malaysia Airlines, and we aren't buying your shit. Perez- leave crappy reporting of real news to Buzzfeed or CNN.

Found? Are you ******* kidding me?

THe crash site was in no way found, nor is there even proof that the plane even did crash. The fact that the Malaysian government is saying it for sure crashed in the ocean is ridiculous, but this article as even more ridiculous, as it is a flat out LIE.

This doesn't even qualify as journalism.

All the facts are stacking up….and pointing to the southern Indian Ocean. Whilst the plane (intact) has not been found, its subsequent crash location has been determined. The multinational search agencies will continue with a detailed search and analysis to verify the facts and hopefully find out what actually happened on that flight. I am sure everyone would like to know what actually happened. However…in the meantime….RIP to the 239 innocent souls lost….

Are you kidding me? The actual crash site was already discovered by Vietnam and that was quickly covered up! What on earth was on that plane that is causing Malaysia and Australia to point to an empty spot in the ocean strewn with trash and fishing equipment? I smell a rat.
