Christina Aguilera's Malaysian Concert Has Been Cancelled Following Flight MH370 Tragedy

christina aguilera concert cancelled wenn

Even more sad news comes from Malaysia today!

Christina Aguilera has chosen to cancel her scheduled concert following the Formula 1 race in Kuala Lumpur to show respect for those who fatally crashed with Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

The free concert was set to take place in Malaysia's ultra luxe Petronas twin towers at the center of the capital city this weekend and it would've been the diva's very first time performing in the region.

Thankfully, Twin Towers Alive organizers have set up a hotline where those disappointed by the changed plans can voice concerns and discuss rescheduling.

While it's a definite bummer for all of Xtina's fans in the east, it only seems right to cancel - especially following yesterday's reports that there are absolutely no survivors after the crash site was found in the Indian Ocean.

Do YOU think it was the right decision for Christina Aguilera to cancel her Malaysian concert?

Seriously? ALL WRONG. THEY cancelled the ENTIRE concert, not Christina. They didn't even tell the singers performing there. Christina and her crew were already at the airport headed to Malaysia when the concert was cancelled. She barely found out early today.

The promoters cancelled it NOT Christina!! many of her dancers and musicians were already on their way there or had already arrived when this decision was made. Stop trying to blame Christina!!

that's ridiculous. music is a powerful healer that can unite people in times of tragedy. The Fleetwood Mac concert still went on in Boston after the marathon bombing tragedy, and they hadn't even caught the perpetrators yet - and the energy in the stadium was insane. It really made you feel united and supported, and the band gave a beautiful speech of how proud they were of the strength of Bostonians and dedicated their entire performance to the victims of the bombing. Cancelling something that people were looking forward to during a tragedy is probably the worst thing you could do. They need it!

How is this in respect for the tragedy??? They could have made it in honor of them. There are other reasons behind this.

THIS WAS NOT XTINA'S CONCERT, SHE WAS ONE OF THE PERFORMERS, AND THE CONCERT WAS CANCELED BY THE ORGANIZATORS & SPONSORS, NOT PERFORMERS, CHANGE YOUR SOURCES,PEREZ

Christina was the headliner, but it wasn't her concert. It's the Twin Towers Alive 2014 concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. However, Christina will still be performing for a small group of about 3,000 fans at a private show that has been rescheduled at a different location!

As others have pointed out, it was not the artist that cancelled…..it was the sponsors. No one has officially confirmed that there will be a concert with Christina. If it happens, the rumor is that it will be for those that BOUGHT merchandise to get Fanzone Passes. The cancelled concert and the other cancelled concert scheduled for the next night were FREE to the public but if you wanted to be near the stage, you had to buy merchandise and get the Fanzone Pass.

To my immediate knowledge only this one concert is back on but reduced to those that paid.

Those that bought merchandise and have Fanzone Pass for the next night concert are left out completely.

I find none of the actions by TTA to be respectful of anyone. I also believe if the sponsors truly wanted to be respectful, all activities of F1 and the F1 races would have been cancelled.

The TTA management cancelled the whole event!and they are very poor in giving explanations to fanzone tix holders! it's a mess created by TTA management itself!

This is a lot of crock. It's not just Cristina's concert. A lot of other performers were scheduled be in the concert, like World star singer Rain. But then considering the source……..
