James Van Der Beek Relives His Favorite Stalker Memory With Seth Meyers And No, It Wasn't A Screaming Teenage Girl!

| Filed under: Late Night TVSeth Meyers

James Van Der Beek did a whole lotta crying and corrupting back when he was Dawson Leery.

LOLz! We're totally kidding about the latter, but crying, not so much.

And it certainly wasn't because of his birthday stalker or because of Dawson losing his virginity!

Thankfully now, and hopefully after the birth of his daughter, the former Dawson's Creek star is revealing to Seth Meyers that he's doing nothing but laughing these days!

Even though James may WANT to be the star of the Indy franchise, he IS the star of a new CBS sitcom titled, Friends with Better Lives, which is nothing, NOTHING like Friends. Ha!

Ch-ch-check out his HIGHlarious interview with Seth (above)!

I'm not one to make a fuss usually. But did it occur to him at any point that this man likely has a mental disability?? Because it sure sounds like it, in which case this story breaks my heart a little. All he wanted was to give him a card on his birthday, instead he got avoided by the person he clearly adored. Sad. I say this with my autistic brother in mind, he has what people would call obsessions. It's often the case with autistic people. He will identify with a television show and watch nothing but for months. Some other obsessions like trains or 80'smusic music have been a big part of his life for years and years. In this case it sounds like this man loved Dawson's Creek, and he identified with the main character. It's a completely innocent obsession. My brother has the mind of a ten year old boy but he is 23. So I just wanted to point that out, I wish more people would consider the possibility of a disability being the reason behind a person's odd behavior. Instead of making fun.
