Simon Cowell has reportedly said before he didn't want to have children, but after knocking up his good friend's wife, Lauren Silverman, he had no choice but to own up to the whole situation.
And when baby Eric came into the world, his whole life turned around! Babies can do that to a person!
In a recent interview, the former American Idol did admit he regret betraying his friend when he impregnanted Andrew Silverman's then wife.
The new father of one said of his extramarital affair with Lauren:
"It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened. You have to deal with it and man up to it. You have to accept the responsibility and the criticism. All I can say is, my advice to you is if it happens to you, you just have to deal with it a day at a time and own up to your responsibilities."
We're sure his baby momma is glad Simon owned up to the whole thing instead of leaving her high and dry!
But now that his son is in his life, the British TV guru perspective on life has totally changed!
"Maybe because it puts things in perspective having two people in my life who I am responsible for. There were times last year when I would live in two rooms, y'know kitchen and bedroom, in your house. It is a weird existence when you live on your own. On the phone all night, blah blah blah. Now the house is full of people. It has become a home rather than a house.
I seem to have got my mojo back again."
Well, Simon, you are certainly going to need your mojo back if you're trying to create the next best
New One Direction!
The X Factor UK is back on his feet after a roller coaster of a year! Glad to have you back!
