Ghostbusters Director Confirms Ghostbusters 3 Is Finally In The Works! Find Out What He Said About Bill Murray's Involvement HERE!

ghostbusters 3 is happening ivan reitman ernie hudson explain bill murray harold ramis

It's happening! It's really happening!

Reporters recently caught up with Ivan Reitman at an event for his new directorial effort, Draft Day, but the topic on everyone's mind was Ghostbusters 3!

Ivan, who directed the first two Ghostbusters, shared some super sweet deets with fans of the franchise!

He revealed that the first steps of the movie making process have finally been taken. He said:

"A lot of directors are throwing their hats in. We're starting the meetings. We're going to do it."

Yay! Why are they even looking for other directors, though? Don't they think Reitman is the, well, reitman for the job?

Either way, we excited for the movie to finally get made!

Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson was at the Draft Day event, too. He opened up about how the death of co-star Harold Ramis could affect the franchise.

Ernie confessed:

"Unfortunately Harold [Ramis] is not with us anymore. But it's going to happen. It's going to be really, really good, which is why it's taken so long… The fans have been amazing. Without any studio support, they make their outfits and cars and Ectomobiles. I was in Brussels, and about 50 guys showed up with their Ghostbuster outfits on. In every state in the country, there are Ghostbuster chapters. It's cool. It's nice to be a part of."

Aww! While it would be tacky to try and bring Harold back as a ghost, we do hope the movie pays homage to him in some way or another!

Ivan went on to talk about Bill Murray's potential involvement in GB3, but right now that's up in the air.

He explained:

"There will be many people from the original cast. You're really asking about Bill Murray, and I have no idea. All the other movies I made with Bill, he never told me he was doing it until … well, the longest was two weeks. Meatballs, he told me he was doing it the day before."

Do it, Bill! The people demand it of you!!!!

bill murray never said no, over the years bill said the script has to be good ivan dan and late ramis has said the original script done by the guys of tropic thunder was very good now they are taking two scripts with the other done by MIB3 director.

they are reworking both to one script that ivan has said is very good ivan also said when he worked with murray that bill never said he was doing any project till the day before (classic murray lol) so im sure with the recent death of ramis they all will be there to honor egon.

actually fans have been screaming if the movie is going to be made they want a emotional funeral for egon the fans also have been saying they want egon to be the ghost to help from the other side just like murray was planed to do,
the fans want it to be switched, they could easily get a voice actor for new egon lines (a bit tacky) but it could work and the fans want it.

now the question is who is going to be the new actors for the new busters im probably the only one here but im hoping for jack black his crazy nerdy-ness is perfect for a new buster spot im also hoping for ben stiller kevin james & Adam Sandler

hey who said they have to be in their 20's and early 30's because the originals were in their 40's in GB1

look people GB3 (which will probably be re named later) the number 3 is attached to the old films but making it a stand alone movie would do better, this hole thing has been wanted by thousands upon thousands of fans like myself a new ghostbusters has always been split in half of people wanting and hating the idea of new busters

admit it thats all you fuckers are getting at you want the old team IT AINT HAPPENING just get over it already damn this is becoming a downer because of you stubborn people.

they are finnally making your movie and this is all you come up with is dont do it over and over you haters have said that from the beginning yet here we are almost 7 years from when it all started in 2008 and they are still going to do it regardless so do what you been doing come up with good actors for the new busters,

btw a new director will probably toss female buster idea out the window if it didn't happen in GB2 it aint happening in GB3 i mean GB is for men not woman there i said it.

I think some of these comments about not having an female
Ghostbuster is mildly sexiest they had a female terminator
in terminator 3 and in the Sarah Connor tv show so why can't
they have an female Ghostbuster and secondly it's dan aykroyd
and ernie Hudson's dire attempt to resurrect their failing movie career's
even carrie fisher will be donning her famous gold bikini again after
she shredded 40 pounds for the latest in a series of star wars movies.
