Either she's done, or she's just a whiny girl seeking attention! Look's like she complains way to much

Why do they wait soooooooooooooooo long to come out with sequels.. I dont blame her for not wanting to be apart of it. They're all grown is hell. It won't take much for Robin Williams to play an old lady, he's old is hell himself now!

Hardly "scathing" Though if they throw enough money at her… I do hope she changes her mind.

as if people will go: Oh i won't go see the sequel if Mara is not in it

She quit acting a long time ago. She is saying she is not coming out of acting retirement to do a crappy sequel. I loved her in Matilda. She was a great actress.

Wow. It made her lots of money. Many many children loved the movie and would love to see a sequel. Its said when your to busy look out for yourself and not looking at the bigger picture. Too bad she is tooooo good for the rest of us nobodys. Sad you look down on the people and movie that made you comfortable in life.

Sounds like she's trying to convince herself. The first tweet alone would've sufficed.

Lame movie to begin with, catering to the lowest common denominator. A sequel is not necessary.

Re: mitzy – If she wanted attention, she'd BE IN THE MOVIE, MORON.

She's in a very different place right now. She wrote a really interesting article for Cracked called "7 Reasons Why Child Stars Go Crazy". Good for her. For those of you who are butt-hurt (Mitzy, Allcan, Victoria and especially Kim), too bad.

lil girl.. no one cares to see you in the sequal either!
you were semi cute when you were a kid.. and now no one cares for your "holier than thou" tweets.

I have to agree with Mara. I liked the movie when it came out, but I can see no reason to make a sequel of it. It's not like the father has to pretend to be someone he's not in order to see his grown kids (or grandkids now?). And to think that it might have filtered down to one of the kids now needing to do that in order to see one his kids is just seriously pushing the limits of believability. Either way, she's right….most sequels suck and is a cheap way to get out of developing new characters and fresh stories. I won't waste my money seeing it if they make that movie (won't even buy the DVD when it comes to DVD…which, my guess, will be pretty quickly).

A sequel to Mrs Doubtfire? Is Robin Williams that broke?

  16. Dot says – reply to this

Leave her be, it's her choice!

I would predict the plot would revolve around the grandchildren and Robin Williams doing a new character, I can't imagine them continuing on the same time line considering the time scale they left the sequel release. so they can just pick one of the other kids meaning she is neither required or relevant to the storyline (in fact the older kids would probably be more suited to a reoccurring role as their kids would more likely be older). Although a slight shame she wont even consider a cameo role if it was offered.

Reprising Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire alone would be a welcome throwback. He was hilarious in that role regardless of who played opposite him. Sally Field and Pierce Brosnan are a little "long of tooth" to reprise their roles. So probably won't miss Mara either. I think she is overestimating her importance in the success (IMO) of the first Mrs. Doubtfire. Sometimes it is successful just because it made ya' laugh! Not much of that available these days! You go, Robin! Maybe Pam Dawber wouldn't mind a segway into another Robin Williams entertainment adventure!

She could've just said she isn't going to be in the sequel. She didn't have to be so bitchy about it.

Oh come now really? She's being a nincompoop. Who the heck wants her in that movie anyway? if she doesn't want to be in , who cares? They can very easily find an out of work actress who would happily be a part of this movie…I think she's ungrateful and inappropriate by saying this about the movie. It did make her a lot of money even though she really didn't go anywhere in her career post Mrs Doubtfire… Lighten up miss Wilson you being a snotty little kid….

Sad, I was a fan of this girl for years. Her whining just shows how pretentious she is. You retired for a reason. Any excuse for a sequel to this movie, I'll take. And hi will take it gladly without this Twat.
