This is a nightmare for everyone involved.
X-Men director Bryan Singer has been accused of sexually molesting a minor, right as he has two big projects on the horizon.
This is causing the 20th Century Fox and ABC networks to rethink their marketing plans.
First, Singer cancelled his WonderCon appearance this weekend, as well as another at an MPAA-sponsored conference in May.
But in addition to that, X-Men: Days of Furture Past and ABC’s new show Black Box are scrambling to change some things around.
ABC has already pulled any promos that mention Singer’s name attached with their show Black Box, which premieres April 24th.
While Fox won’t postpone anything, they are taking Singer out of the spotlight. He may not even attend the premieres and junkets at all! Luckily, they have a star-studded cast, so we’re sure people will be fine seeing Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, and Michael Fassbender instead.
What unlucky timing for the studios!
As we previously said, Singer denies all of the accusations made against him, but we’re just going to have to wait and see how this thing ends.
