Skydiver Plummets To His Death On Easter, Lands Right Next To A Family In The Middle Of Their Easter Egg Hunt
This was the most awful Easter imaginable for everyone involved!!!
Easter Sunday is about wearing tacky floral prints, painting eggs, and eating enough chocolate to put anyone into a cocoa-coma. It should be a day for families to make wonderful memories and take cute pictures!
For the Dye family of Washington Township, New Jersey, unfortunately, this holiday was only filled with horrors!
They were in the middle of their annual Easter egg hunt when one of them noticed something peculiar in the sky up above. It was a skydiver plummeting toward the ground, and he was spinning out of control!
"I saw the jumpers. Then I noticed one, and he kind of looked like he was… He was just spinning."
What she saw was 49-year-old Arkady Shenker. He was a skydiving enthusiast who had just jumped out of a plane (on purpose), but something was terribly wrong.
For reasons still unknown, Arkady wound up crashing down into one of the Dye neighbor's yards.
He was rushed to a hospital, but he died later on Sunday night.
Ugh. It's not like there's ever a good time for a tragedy like this to occur, but what an awful, awful Easter Sunday.
Our hearts and condolences go out to everyone affected.
