Cameron Diaz Hasn't Worn Antiperspirant In 20 Years! Holy Mother Of Stank!

Cameron Diaz says we live in a smelly, smelly world….

Because most of the population uses antiperspirant, and we should totally stop!

What the WHAT!?

At Monday night's premiere, The Other Woman actress confessed she's gone without the anti-stink stick for some time now, and hasn't looked back since calling it quits:

"I don't believe in antiperspirant. It's really bad for you. I haven't used it for almost 20 years. You're stinky, because you use antiperspirant. It keeps all the stink in."

She even takes it one pungent step further, revealing men should go without it as well, offering up this sage advice:

"Let it go and just trim your armpit hair so it doesn't hold onto the scent."

Has she ever smelled a dude after a sweat sesh?? Yucky!!

Ever since The Body Book came out, Cam has been candid about her beauty routine, vajayjay, and more!

So while this really doesn't shock us, we still think it's icky!

I actually do believe what cam's saying.
I also never wear antiperspirant. The one time I did try, my armpit began to smell. I stopped right away and the stink went away.
I never have much sweating in my armpits, nor have I ever had armpit hair.
So I do not agree that NOT wearing antiperspirants is "icky" as the this blog claims.

Go for it folks… you won't look back!

I gave up wearing it myself about 7 years ago. I had heard a lot about the chemical dangers lurking in deodorants, and I didn't want to keep taking the risk. And I was very surprised with the results!
I used to ALWAYS sweat a lot, even WITH antiperspirant; my shirts would be wet regardless. And I'd stink too; women's deodorant is USELESS.
(I actually began wearing men's deodorant instead; MUCH better. I still use it, but only if I've a special occasion like a wedding or if I'm going dancing.)

When I gave it up, I'll be honest: I stank to high heaven. After a shower, I'd be stinky and damp within a few minutes.
HOWEVER, a friend told me to expect this, (the awful smell is toxins leaving your pits, AND your sweat glands are re-learning how to do their jobs properly) and so I stuck with it.
After a few months, I reached a point where my pits don't sweat any more or less than any other part of my body, unless I've been working hard or wearing lots of close layers.
And the smell is not even CLOSE to what it once was.

Perez: What's "icky" is your attitude. Do some research on the products and chemicals used in this crap.

Well, sorry Perez, but no it's not icky at all. Cam's right. Most people shower at least once a day, and unless you're VERY active or never change clothes you simply don't produce that much sweat or odor. My husband has never worn antiperspirant and he doesn't smell at all, neither does my friend who gave it up a year ago. Moreover, the active ingredients in antiperspirant (aluminum salts) doesn't do your body any good at all.

I'm with cameron. Plus, one ingredient in the deodorants (aluminum) is one of the main reasons to produce breast cancer. aluminum is used to conservate the deodorant. Why you think there is also cases of breast cancer in men? Because you have to let your inner fluids come out somehow. And deodorants are just like a cork in your armpits. You need to sweat when you go to the gym, to feel better. Just imagine corking up your whole body when you are going to the gym??? Everything in our body has a function for a reason.

I only use deodorant, qhen I'm not going to take a shower later in the day. I use it in the morning. But If someone is higienic, and takes a shower at least when you get up, and before you go to bed, you usually dont stink that bad. I only use it when IM going to be outside the whole day, under the sun.

If you dont want to use deo. Use the juice of half a lemon. It works as a deodorant, and keep the smell away. Be careful not to expose your armpits to the direct sun. Baking soda works as well. If you have smelling feet as well, mixed with baby powder.

Re: Ellie – Ellie is right. Aluminum is dangerous!

Hey Perez, she said "Antiperspirant" not "deodorant". She probably uses one of many Crystal sticks you find in all the organic stores.

  7. Mel says – reply to this

What she is not saying is that the aluminum in deodorant is linked to breast cancer. Ask you doctor. There are aluminum-free brands but I've found only the crystal type works (type you run under water first).

Educate yourself Perez before you start commenting. My sister had breast cancer. She cannot use antiperspirant because of the aluminum. It's very bad for you!!!

I always thought she was hot until I heard she stinks….yuck!

I have noticed that if I use a dry deordorant I only need to use it about once a week. But if I use the type that goes on wet, I need to use it almost twice a day or I smell like crap! So I go with the dry stuff.

theres a difference between deodorant and antiperspirants! anti-perspirantsstop you from sweating all together where deodorant just masks the smell. I've seen in a previous interview of hers that she does actually wear deodorant just not anti persperants :) just remember that theres a difference and that the article has lacked to inform us of this and that she chooses deodorant over antiperspirants :)

I never use Antiperspirant. I just take a shower twice a day, wear fresh clean clothes, never use someone else's shirts. In Summer, sometimes I scrub my armpit with lemon or baking soda during bath time.
