"I grew up loving the play and I remember thinking, Why has this movie not been made? It's no longer as angry. It's not agitprop. It's stories about different kinds of love. Larry [Kramer] and the other organizers were true heroes. I have a wonderful life. I'm married, I have a kid, I have freedoms that as a child I never thought I would have. And I don't think I would have those freedoms without those guys. So I was interested in paying them tribute. Thank you for my life."
So touching! So many feelings!!
We cannot wait to see these actors and Mr. Murphy's vision come to life on May 25th.
