This Is Movie Magic! Family Remodels Their Victorian Home To Recreate The House From Up!

up house

All this place needs is a few balloons, and this home is straight out of Pixar!

Hosam Haggog and Fatima Rahman spent over two years renovating their Victorian house to look like the house from Up, and we've got to say, the final result is uplifting!

According to Hosam, they did the remodeling for their daughters:

"They love the movie Up and we just thought we'd give them something fun to be proud of and actually all the kids in the neighborhood really love the colors."

Apparently though, a bunch of their neighbors are getting as crabby as Carl Fredricksen about the remodeling.

One neighbor by the name of Lou Faria mentioned that he felt strongly about how the house didn't fit in with the rest of the old Victorians in their neighborhood:

"It really, in my opinion, is atrocious that this Victorian is a gracious old lady and it's being painted up to look like a clown."

Oh no! Not old lady clowns! That's the worst type of clown!

We get that he thinks the integrity of the neighborhood is being diminished by the change, but we think the colors look great!

Also, how awesome of these parents to give such a cool gift to their daughters!

In the end, it's just paint.

I LOVE old victorian houses. This house is miaginative and colorful but not in the "tradition" of the grandeur of the "painted ladies" style of victorian houses. Painted ladies did have mixed colors - but not to this extent. What you failed to realize (not so shocking) is that this street has houses that are all over 100 years old and of historical valkue and they are trying to preserve the heritage of the houses. No house on that street is supposed to be allowed to make any kind of architectural changes without being approved by a neighborhood panel and a city board. This family has also changed the interior of the strucutre and bypassed the "rules" according to other articles. It is great they want their kids to have a happy/fun home - but then perhaps the choice of a historical home was not the best choice.

I got them some balloons, but they refused to move to South America…instead they put toxic waste all over the neighborhood. Ew.
