Could this really be happening? Could our beloved Zac Efron really be taking his first step into a larger world??

The rumor mill has been churning non-stop since the next chapter in the Star Wars franchise was announced. There have been casting rumors about a lot of hot young stars - including a certain rumor about Zefron taking on the role of young Han Solo in a spinoff!

Now that the cast of Episode VII has been officially announced, we saw that at least a few of those rumors were on the money! So what about this one??

Zac was recently asked to comment on the Star Wars talk, and he did NOT deny it! In fact, his playing coy sounds pretty revealing to us! He said:

"I don't know. I have no idea on that. I don't know. There's irons in the fire, so to speak. I don't like to talk about anything too early because you know, it takes a while to get these things done right and who knows."

Ahh! Irons in the fire! This could actually be in the works! Could U see Zac as Han Solo?

No. Let's hope it's not happening.

I sincerely doubt that he will be cast in the movie because it would alienate A LOT of base fans from the franchise. My guess is that he wants to be in the movies, so he keeps pretending that he's in talks with them so that the buzz is out there.

Plus, why would they cast someone who is currently dealing with drug abuse issues? I think that's a liability that they don't want to take on. It's not like he's successfully gotten through beating his demons.

I think if they want to make a good Star Wars movie and keep the vibe, they need to throw away the computers, call up the practical model shop, and do some shit the old fashioned stop motion way, with new cameras… that record old looking film, WHILE they write a good script, and we can't know a single actor in the movie. 1 known actor breaks the vibe.
