Alanis Morissette Gets Political Today! Listen To Her New Jam In Support Of Marianne Williamson's Run For California Congress HERE!

| Filed under: Music MinutePolitikAlanis Morissette

Alanis Morissette is using her talent to fight for what she believes in!

The songstress wrote the campaign song, Today, in support of California Congressional candidate Marianne Williamson.

Along with the music video that splashes photos of Marianne's good deeds, Alanis wrote:

"I was attempting to capture the passion, mission, activism, deep humanity and tenderness of Marianne, the new political sensibility she represents and the consciousness that produced it. Recording at Sunset Sound with my bandmates, Marianne came by and visited. We all huddled together as the song was recorded. I love this song. I love this woman and I love a world that would vote for her."

Well, dayum!

We can't necessarily imagine ourselves blasting this on a joyride like Ironic, but we always support activism.

If anyone's vocals can recruit us on Marianne's team, it's Alanis' gripping chords!

Gurlfriend can endorse us any day if it comes with a personalized tune as beautiful as this one! HA!

Ch-ch-check it out (above)!!!

I don't care about the schilling, but Alanis's voice is extraordinary on this. I think it's the best I've ever heard vocally from her, but haven't heard every one of her tunes, so.
