Go Spidey, go!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 spewed out its webs and soared over the weekend box office to earn $92 million domestically with $277 million internationally.

Not bad at all!

The sequel to the franchise defeated competitors with The Other Woman cashing in a measly $14 million (sorry, Cameron Diaz).

Still, while it's evidently hard to resist Andrew Garfield in a spandex suit, his big screen moves were no match for other Sony franchises like Captain America and Iron Man.

And let's not forget that the real summer box office competition won't begin until the monstrous Godzilla stomps through theaters in two weeks!

Will Spider-Man be able to stand a chance against the giant lizard??!

We'll just have to sit back, butter our popcorn, and get ready to watch them fight for it!

Perez, you need to hire some fact-checkers. You also nee dto turn in yyour geek card. Captain America and Iron Man are NOT Sony franchises. They are Marvel franchises. Spider-Man is the only Marvel character that Sony Pictures has the rights too. Sony Pictures = Spider-Man. Fox = Fantastic Four, X-Men. Marvel Pictures (Disney) = Iron Man 1, 2, 3, Captain America 1, 2, Thor 1, 2, The Incredible Hulk, The Avengers.
