Fans Not Allowed To Touch Avril Lavigne After Spending HUNDREDS For A Special Meet & Greet?!? See The Super Awkward Pics HERE!

Oh Avril Lavigne! Why’d you have to go and make things so complicated?!

The pop-punk-rocker is being accused of demanding that her fans refrain from touching her AT ALL during a recent concert in Brazil!

According to a report, these Little Black Stars (as Avril calls her fans) shelled out 800 Reals (that’s just about $400!) to be brought backstage for a special meet & greet!

They were allegedly allowed to say “hey” then take a quick photo with their idol and then they had to GTFO!

Are you kidding?!?!

Ch-ch-check out those photos (above) of people keeping a distance between themselves and Avril!

Miz Lavigne however has a rebuttal for this story!

She posted this pic (below) on her Instagram page, as proof that the “no touching” rule report was completely bogus:

Those pics are from the SAME meet & greet, and she appears to have no problemo rubbing up against her fans!

So what’s with all the room in between her and her fans in the other ones?? Did they all have a cold and didn’t want to risk getting this Sk8er Girl sick?

Hmm. What do you think Perezcious Readers? You can see more of the uncomfortable photos from Brazil (below)!

Maybe she had something contagious otherwise thats no way to treat her fans

  3. 3

I'm still stuck on the first paragraph. Why would someone pay $400 to meet her?

She was assaulted the last time she was in Brazil, which is why they are more stringent this time around. You may want to consider editing your op-ed to take that into consideration.

Re: k_rad – a claim of assault* and if so: why should that bad and SINGLE event affect her fans? They shelled out a lot of money for her, the least she can do is give them a better picture! She also has bodyguards and security, therefore limiting the chance of something happening. Great op-ed Perez!

Did anyone think that maybe, the fans were just nervous and didn't want to get in her personal space?

$400 to a meet & greet with a talentless has been? LOL Serves them right!

I'm Brazilian and I was there. Her crew told everybody they should say a quick hi, take a single quick picture and leave. It was said touching her was strictly forbidden. Those few pics she posted are nothing compared to the dozens of awkward pics her fans posted. Some here said some fans could be just nervous for being in her presence, but bitch, please, who do you think that'd pay $400 and not try to get close of their (poor things!) idol? The pics she posted shows fans barely touching her, once it's almost impossible avoid someone who's so close not eventually touch you. She was a bitch, no more to say.

Plus: Personal space is part of American culture, not Brazilian. Brazilians, by the way, are known for being warm and most find the concept of personal space particularly weird and nonsense. It's not criticism once it's an aspect of your reality, but doesn't apply to us, culturaly.

All I know is that in the past a lot of photos I have seen of her with her fans is that her hands are always in her pockets or by her side.. the photos always seem real awkward but there was never that big gap between her and fans just hands always at her sides.

Hey Perez, the plural por "Real" is "Reais" and not "Reals" :) just a little tip from Brazil. XO.

The story is actually right. I am from Brazil, where all of this happened. Security told fans that they were not supposed to touch or hug Avril, unless she herself wanted to. Some fans said she hold their hands, but if she stood away, fans were not supposed to get closer than that.

  13. shawn says – reply to this

    13

She's probably pregnant and those that were standing farther away probably smoke. Secondhand smoke can cause pregnancy issues.

I'm from Brazil and some fans didn't wanted to get closer, cause they was kinda in shock.

    Riduculous!!

Eles não puderam tocar mesmo, mesmo nas fotos abaixo os fãns não poderiam abraça-la

  17. Karol says – reply to this

    17

IT'S TRUE. I'm from Brazil and fans couldn't touch her unless they beg for it. Security told EVERYONE that they were not allowed to touch, the ones who did touch her did it against the rules.
The big question is: who create the rules? Avril does.

Re: Helena – No one had forced those fans to pay. They were asked to pay and were clearly told how to behave. If they didn't want it, they could have walked out. And you pay certain money doesn't mean that you must be allowed to touch. She didn't allow to touch herself, and you call that bitch?

I also could be their own fault - I know once I met a celeb. I was too standing far away but seeing others photos they where standing close - I think that it's about cemistry you maybe have 10 sekunds from you get in till the photo's taken and that's enough time to make an oppion about each other.. and being a celeb. doesnt change that fact
(sorry for my spelling I'm from Scandinavia)

I used to like her back in her "Under My Skin" days, and I still do like some of her stuff…but she has faded into irrelevance as far as popularity goes. This strikes me as a faked publicity stunt…especially with this second set of photo's.

    21

This news isn't true. Before fans want to try to rape her there wasn't any problem. After that incident bodygards told them to hold back and dont touch here. Also, do you want there to stand 5 hours and smiling with unknow people?

In the Japanese idol factory world, where young girls are carefully groomed to become products whose sole purpose is to earn talent agencies, management teams, and record company executives millions of yen, there is a long list of protocols the idols must obey (no smoking, no dating, etc) and another set of protocols their fans must obey. One of them is that you are not allowed to touch the idol. This is strictly enforced. After her latest pink video nightmare in which she tries and fails at being a kawaii(!!) Japanese idol, I'm getting the impression Avril's trying a little too hard to be something she's not.
