Ellen Page is feeling gay about coming out as gay.
Ever since the actress came out in February at the Human Rights Campaign's Time to THRIVE conference in Las Vegas, she has never been happier.
In fact, Ellen is so relieved about the brave decision that she cried tears of joy when she recalled the speech that forever changed her life.
"I knew I would be happier. But I wouldn't have anticipated just how f–king happy I am and how every tiny little aspect of my life feels better. I can remember sitting behind monitors with Hugh Jackman [while filiming X-Men: Days Of Future Past] and he was like, 'You seem so different already!' And I was like, 'I feel different already.'"
As for the days before she came out and inspired us all??! The tale isn't as cheery.
"I was sad, honestly. And obviously that's a very personal thing to say, but I say it to encourage whatever other people are feeling. Very sad, isolated, a lot of anxiety. No more. I'm so stoked to get married. I'm such a romantic, it's awful. And I don't think I'd want to make a kid, but I'd love to raise one. I'd love to raise a kid."
That's right, gurl! NO MORE HIDING.
It is painful to think that we still live in a world where people feel afraid to expose who they truly are, but we are so thrilled that Ellen took the leap.
Besides her own newfound ease, she made us all feel a little less alone in this world and we could not thank her enough for it!!!
